How do you forget a girl?

i was recently in a really bad break up (not the chick that i introduced The Livid to) and seeing how much this girl has changed is extremely sad . i want to forget about her, but i dont. i still love her and i know thats not good for me. she has changed into the exact opposite girl she used to be, and the exact type of girl i hate. i dont know why i still love her but i do.
can someone help me forget about her? what should i do?

Sorry to hear man, broken hearts suck.

They say the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.

I'd say you just have to give yourself time. Everyday it'll hurt a bit less. I say try and keep your mind occupied with other things, and don't be to hard on yourself if you're not over her right away.

yep... same one. she had such a huge impact on me. ive never loved anyone that much. suddenly its really bothering me.
she turned pure gothic. and shes making friends with druggies and drunks and she goes to concerts like every night and just rubs and grinds against every hot guy she sees. its so hard seeing her like this.. especially because i know shes oging to be taken advantage of and i cnat let that happen

I'd help you out, but I am going through the same thing you are (except I'm in love with a boy haha). He moved to BC in February and I am still not over him. At all.

The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie.

hey dude.
i would say the hardest thing is to foget the person you loved... you said she has changed and so likely you are still in love with the person you first met not hte person she is now. always keep that in mind when it comes to breakups. you might think you love her but its likely not the case. memories linger and its hard to detatch yourself from those types of things.

you seem to wanna help this person and if you broke up with her, unless you dumped her i don't know why you would feel so responsible to take care of her. I have a feeling that she might have dumped you and therefor you just want her back even though she has changed. i think that timeis the cure but realizing that she is doing what she wants to do is something you might have to come to grips with.

dude... once again breakups are tough. and i feel for ya. i know the pain of loving someone who doesnt love you back anymore and i can tell you it can haunt you for years. just always try to put context to your feelings and you will do just fine...

take care

appreciate what you got out of the relationship and don't fret too much about it. alot of people say that things such as breakups are a result of fate. whilst i don't subscribe to that theory, i will say that sometimes breakups are for the best. judging from your post, this one was. find a hobby, spend time with your buddies and just take it day by day. perhaps get a porn channel on cable. or maybe a blowup sheep. and some lube.

yes... thats it. im still in love with the old her. and theres none of the old her left. thanks man, i didnt realize that before. she changed completely and i kinda just let her go, THEN she admitted she doesnt love me anymore anyway. i just feel responsible because i love her so much. she was such a sweet cute girl and now shes a partier and gothic and weird. and shes such a bitch now. thanks for the help guys... i guess the answer to my question is Time. time will help me forget a girl.
i know its not always the best thing to forget someone you once loved, but it hurts when i think about her and see how different she is and how much shes fucking up her life... so i really should let her go.

thanks again guys

yeah dude... let her go... unless you sent her down that road then you owe it to her to help her but otherwise no amount of struggle with get her back... so just be happy that she isn't your problem anymore...

dude.. .time heals all and the more you can fill your time and the less you can think about her the better off you will be... there will me moments where you will think of her and thats good but just don't let it consume you.

You're only 16.
It's not the end of the world.

Time heals all wounds. Simple as that.
Annnnddd, she sounds like the type of girl I hate, too. I'd step on her if I saw her at a Livid show.
But that's just me and my agressive ways...

You just keep on loving, and eventually someone will love you back just as much as you love them.

I'm personally really enjoying being single. I don't really see myself finding someone to stick with for a while...
Live it up while you still can.

I do believe that's not possible. However "PIS'd step on her if he saw her at a Livid show. Then he'd fall off his bike.

no i definatly didnt lead her down that path. and she wouldnt be going to a Livid show unless they were punk or screamers. but please do if you ever see her. lol.
but yes, i know i will love again.. thats not the problem. the problem is getting her the fuck out of my head! and now i realize that im just thinking about the old her. everything i think of reminds me of the old her. the her that doesnt exist. but talking to her helps because shes such a bitch
