I somehow got stuck writing an entire script for my drama exam all by myself. All 6 of my group members all claimed to have no access to the computer.
Ya right. I have been working on this since 5 and it's 12:47 now. I am gonna be one angry behotch tomorrow.
The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she
wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect
woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie.

Meh, I think scripts are better off as a one person venture, that way you don't have the added annoyance of 6 people arguing over some really
minor scene that just makes the whole thing go a whole lot slower.

I get that about scripts, in our comm tech class at school, when we used to have groups , each person got something they had to do, like one had to
write, one had to be the camera person and one had to edit the movie, it made life sooo much easier

Amen to that. There's nothing worse than having four ideas all getting tried, especially when a deadline is looming. That being said, I spent
about 2 and a half hours trying to get Hollywood style credits with the shitty FCP inbuilt titler, stupid piece of crap.

Ahhh, the joys of the editing suites. I think I may have enjoyed being cooped up in a room with a bunch of other media students a bit more had there
been any sort of natural light in there, just one window, it's all I ask for. But yeah, it feels so wierd now after 5 months of full on shooting
and editing (like 4 or so hours a day of one or the other, sometimes longer, the final "touchup" session took a staggering 12 hours!).
I'm so used to rolling out of bed at 7 in the morning to meet my half asleep group out the front of the Uni Cafe so we can get in another fun
filled day of editing or shooting. Oh well, at least all the hard work paid off.
Oh, and a word of advice, if you're doing a film project which you have a rather short amount of time to complete DO NOT use outside actors. Or
if you have to don't use uni/school students, because seriously, it's hard enough working around the schedules of the group, let alone 5
or 6 other people. We had to use one body double and two hand doubles for this thing simply because the actual actors were too busy. Plus one of the
more pivotal scenes had to be cut, which kind of sucked, but what's done is done and it seemed to have gotten the intended reaction. Ahhh,
I'm going to miss this subject, can't wait till next year when I start doing video again (I do film next semester, yay for going from
editing on computer to editing in camera, I can barely contain my joy).
Anyway, that's just about enough rambling out of me for one day.

lol
after my livid movie my eyes hurt sooo bad, beacuse i edited it all ditgally i was just starring endlessly at a computer.
I am taking a speciality comm tech couse, i take it for the whole year and get 2 credits,
last semester the whole class worked togther to make a 1/2 hour tevelsision that went Live to Tape, we actually have a studio in our room so it was
sweeeeet
and then we worked in groups of 2 to make a short film.
This semester everything is individual, we have 4 assignements and about 7 full days to make it work.
We have to do everything oursleves, write, edit, film, graphics and everything...it has been insane
first we had to do a news report, so i did it on Cyndi Lauper and her tour,
then we had to take a TV show and Blue Scrn ourselves into it, so i did the Surrel Life
then we had to do a Documentry, so i did The Livid
and now we are on our last assignment and i am making it on a message board i have been a part of for almost 6 years, Diana is on it too and that is
how i met her
and then we have our final exam where we have one day to make a whole movie thinger

it is ALOT of work, but i love the course, i started off doing pretty crappy it in, but now i got my mark up past 80 which i am proud of
but ya instense, you have no clue! as the due date nears people are freaking out and running around and everyone is sooooo stressed out! and it sucks
cuz you have to share your editing computer with someone else so you are pressuring the person to get done so you can work!
but my friend shares with me and she doesnt do anything anways so i get a lot of computer time, and i can also come in on my spare and work too

We actually have 8 computers for all the first years, and then there's another 15 or so for the third years (which I so wish I could have used).
So you have to fill out the booking sheet, and basically if someone gets to it first, tough luck. Towards the end of assessments it's an
absolute madhouse there's just people hanging around waiting for someone to finish early so they can jump on and start work on their project.
But yeah, I want to use the third year comps cause the ones for us are slow. The bloody thing kept dropping frames when we were trying to playback our
movie, both when editing and when printing. Stupid slow arse comps (just to mention, the first/second years use G4's while the third years have
G5's).

We are having student elections at our school and some girl named Stacey Poon is running for VP so there are signs all over my school that say
"Vote Poon!", "Poon", "It's like spoon but without the "s"" and so on. Here's a sign I
took. And remember kids, vote Poon for VP!

Filmmaking is the greatest thing ever. yeah sin, isnt LiveType sooo much better than the FCP built in titles?
i currently have like 5 films playing on the local channel here. they dont even veiw the film before putting it on. you could probably get away with
some pretty crazy shit if you wanted to.
people actually come up to me and say that they saw me on tv, it's sort of bizzare.
im into doing everything myself, or with one buddy, but that'll change as it gets more advanced. im in this multimedia acadamy at school, but i
dont get to start working on film until 11th grade which sucks. but oh well, i can just continue to make them on my own time anyway. they are more fun
that way.

Lmfaooooo today during her speech she yelled out "YOU KNOW YOU WANT POON IN THE SACK!" ahaha and it sounded super funny because she has a
chinese accent. The first thing she said when she got up to make her speech was "I am aware that my last name is Poon."
