Well of course you do, just like you have to believe in false realities to watch The Matrix.

I find Harry Potter to be so lame im sorry but come on! Do you realy believe in magic? well I sure dont Im done talking about it
you think you have to believe in magic to like harry potter?
No but come on I know alot of people who are getting sick and tired of adults
watching this movie getting so into it that its just sickening. This movie and books were created for kids not for people to have a competition about
who read the most books first. Its understandable for a parent to read them to thier children and go to the movies to see it with them but thats about
enough.
I knowof a ton of people who rather read more interesting books like the book Im reading now; Charlie by Lesley Pearse. Its far more interesting than
any Harry Potter book would give.
As for the matrix Sin its just a cool movie that i finally saw. There are things in that movie i can base on the churches teachings. Unlike Harry
Potter who goes to a school to become a wizard now where in any churches teachings does it speak about magic. Miracles are different, I believe in
miracles but not magic.

I can't say I'm a fan of the Harry Potter movies. I've watched the first two and while they were ok, I don't think I'll
ever buy them (not going to the cinema for #3 I'll wait till it's on DVD). I've also never read the books, I'm not entirely
sure why, but I think it could be because I've always taken it as an aimed at kids thing. While I know that's not entirely true, I am far
more interested in the books written for a more adult audience, from the likes of Palahniuk, Tolkien or Jordan.
Anyway, there's no point anyone getting angry about any of this, it's all a matter of opinion. If you neglect, nay, chastise the views of
others not only are you hindering their ability to express themselves to others you're also closing doors that allow your own mind to grasp new
concepts.
But hey, what the fuck would I know anyway.

danielle, have you read harry potter? the first two movies sucked, i haven't seen the third yet. but i find that most people who say things like
what you've written own up in the end that they haven't actually read the books. as soon as they do read them they change their mind
completely. i've noticed this with a lot of people. one of my friends is only just reading the books now - he was taking the piss out of
everyone who read them, but now he thinks they're fantastic.

The books OWN the movies.
Seriously, I was highly dissapointed with the 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' movie (the first one)...it left out so many
important details.
The second one was a bit better..but still not satisfying enough.
I am looking forward to seeing the third one this Friday.
New director = new vision.
And from the reviews I've read, this movie kicked the other two's ass...so go see it.
you won't let me down...

i haven't seen jurassic park 3, but i think you're going a bit far saying they were worse than tomb raider. then again i'm not sure
if the tomb raider i've seen is the first or second one. or if there even are two.

no, they weren't that bad... Jurassic Park 3... ugh! that was one of the most dissapointing movies ever. i thought that the first to HPs
were ok, and that the 3rd sucked ass. but that's just me. but the books OWN for sure. especially the 4th.

Harry Potter owns you all! Mmmm Daniel Radcliffe *drools*.....Tom Felton is pretty damn hot too, although it looks like they got Aaron Carter to play
Draco in the 3rd movie .
The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she

I cant wait to see the movie. I think the 4th one was my favorite to read. Personally i enjoyed them all. but the 4th was my fav. to read. As
movie wise I wasn't as impressed with with first one as I thought i would. But then the second was a bit better to my knowledge.. and well
this one here by the previews looks superb! so i have good feelings this time! lol

I find it strangely ironic that everyone disses the differences between the HP books and films when no one bothers to go nuts at the LotR trilogy and
some of the hefty changes made to make the thing more suitable to a "Hollywood" audience.

I didn't read the books, though. I'm assuming that's why I feel this way.

not at all - i was pretty sure you hadn't read them, from the way you took the piss out of them. i hear the same thing all the time from people
who haven't read them.
i'm not saying you immediately have to stop reading what you're reading and read all the harry potter books - i'm just saying you
shouldn't be so quick to judge these books when you haven't even read them.

Danielle, if you say you hate Harry Potter because it's all about magic and because people make such a big deal about it, then how can you like
Lord of the Rings?
I think if you haven't read the books, then you shouldn't say they suck. Never bash something until you have shit to back it up first.
