i think its kinda sad that the livid is playing CMW at the hard rock.. cuz the hard rock is kinda not in the middle of all the CMW action. the reason the music big wigs dig CMW is that they can just go from bar to bar on queen street and check out like 20 bands or so in one night. but the hard rock is quite a ways away from the rivoli, 360, reverb and other clubs that represent the centre of the action. on the other hand Club 279 is a great venue so maybe its a trade off... who knows

i hope its a good show just the same... it always is...

Unbelievable how much I just discovered in the last hour. First, I stumble across a band called "left pencey" that I really, really dig and while I'm listening to them I read that they are no more. Then I remember another band I was recommended to listen to called "Walkers Line" - I'm intrigued because I live just by wakers line. Anyway, it turns out Walkers Line is basically "left Pencey". Awesome. I still have to listen to their stuff, but I'll have to assume it's good. Then the first thing I read when I look at their message board is "March 4"...I read it and it says they are playing 279. "Isn't the livid playing 279 March 4?" I think. I check the livid show section and, sure enough, they are playing there on that date, but it doesn't say "walkers line" is playing as well. But it does say "the livid" on the "walkers line" website. Very cool. I am excited even more so now.

This is probably how Allison knew before all of us, because she seems to be this bands number 1 fan.

Edit: Woops. It clearly states in the first post here that walkers line is playing too.

D'oh. After listening to Walkers, it sounds like a different singer. Too bad. They are still quite good, though. Can't wait for the show.

LOL

Poor Chris. Yes, Walkers Line is playing with The Livid on March 4th. It's going to be a great show! And yes, the singer of Walkers Line is different than left Pencey. However the current singer (Andre Palmieri) and guitarist (Pat Leyland) both used to be guitarists in Pencey back in the day. It's all very confusing, but suffice to say that you won't be disappointed when you see Walkers Line live! Also, I'm really glad you like Pencey. They were my favourite band in the whole world and I was crushed when they broke up.
