You need to warn me about these things! I swear I hadn't been on this thread in ages haha.
I do realize we stalk each other through the 'who's online' page, but still haha..

And..I do not!
Okay..maybe.

Welcome to the boards Sean.

You think you've got it tough?
well, it's one of my goals in life to see them play live, so either they get famouse or I save up the money to visit Canada... hey, if I do that, do you think they would let me into the concerts for free?... ?

hey hey

hey guys whats up? i'm katie, another huge fan of the livid. i first heard them in early 2002 and i've been hooked since then. i think the music and lyrics are both incredible, and a lot of the old stuff did remind me of lostprophets or incubus (two of my other favorite bands) but it's still definitely original. (sorry if you're sick of people making that comparison haha) i live in virginia and the livid is one of the few of my favorite bands i haven't gotten to see live. if i could i would drive to canada just to see 'em. but i hope they'll tour in the US sometime soon! anyway, i'm gonna shut up now. just wanted to say whats up=)

How's it going, Katie? Nice to see someone use the newbie thread.

Just to get a little taste of seeing them live, there are a few short video clips of them playing live. One thread is called something like "live video clips" and the other thread that contains videos (probably on page 2) is called, I believe, "thursday at 279".

Also, for decent qaulity mp3's of them playing live, go to the "live bootlegs" thread. Most of these threads should be on page 2 in this forum.

Good luck, and stick around.

Hi Katie!

welcome to the site!

ha, my 3 favorite bands are Incubus, The Livid, and Lostprophets. youve got great tastes.

yeah check out those clips and mp3s, they're pretty cool.

a few quick questions:
1. how long have you known about the Livid?
2. how did you find out about them?
3. what was the first song you heard?

hope you stick around, and have as much fun here as most of us do.

stellar=) gold star for u, ian lostprophets came here to tech a little bit ago and my friend and i got to chill with them before the show. it was pretty damn nifty. now i just have to get front row at the incubus concert in october and i'll be good to go=)

i heard about the livid back in the beginning of 2002, so i guess that would make it 2 years... wow that was some crazy math skill going on there.

my boyfriend at the time made me a cd of them and i absolutely loved it. i heard lostprophets through the same guy actually.

first song was falling behind...such a great one=) but i've never heard one i didn't like. i always end up listening to the livid when i drive to the mountains to get away, just because i did it once and now it's one in the same for me. u know how songs can be like that.

who else do you listen to? do u like any audioslave or nineties grunge stuff like nirvana, soundgarden, stp or pearl jam?

M to the I to the N to the double D--azed

ok, so I probably should've posted here first, but I'm Julie (yes, a girl). If you haven't already seen my previous post, I'm the one who made a new flyer on the street team board. I'm from Hawaii (Oahu) and have been "livin' livid" since some wonderful day in November of 2002 when I found The Livid on mp3.com. I've never seen The Livid live, and hopefully one day I will when they get big enough to tour in the US.

Umm, I don't really do much web or graphic design, but I fool around with Photoshop a bit and am looking forward to improving by making things for the street team.

I listen to a lot of bands and a lot of different styles of music, but I'm mostly known for loving old Juliana Theory (Emotion Is Dead stuff). Aside from that, right now, I dig the new Dead Poetic, Underoath, and Atreyu material. Here's my collection if anyone's that interested. I'm constantly looking for new music fixes and love to get people into new unknown bands.

So that's me. Looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Cool. Nice to meet you.

A very high percentage of the board population are female, so it's not that shocking that you are a girl.

Hah, I was right! Just gathering from the way you type I had guessed you could be a girl..but hey, it's always better to ask and make sure.

There's indeed some great people here, you'll fit in. *I* like you already, so that should mean something HAHA.

And, hey..won't you look at that. You're from Hamilton..home of TheLivid's drummer, Adam Benning.
Nice! You can join our little clique then...I am making you a member, right now.

The name's Dez..by the way.
