Nah, not my thing. I mean, I may as well chuck a pair of novalty goggles on a chair and call it Steve. Now that I think about it that's not such a bad idea. In fact, we could have talking chairs that say phrases when you sit on them or get off them, and it could be based on the weight of the person. Think of the fun that could be had by having your 400 pound mate named Bubba sit on one of these chairs and hear it gasping for breath or something. Or if a person like 10 kilos sits on it it'll whinge about there being flies in the house. Yay, I'm an inventor!

*copyrights idea before anyone can steal it*

>.> <.<

Back, back I say! This is my idea. MINE!

>.> <.<

...

Alright, I'm going to bed, I'm starting to scare myself.

God and animals... Maybe you could discuss something, such as: Do animals have souls?

That topic could go off in all kinds of interesting directions... but I am supposed to be studying now, so I won't actually say anything.

but if one does not believe in god then what is the purpose. i thought i did but now i dont as i have said before but this isnt fair cause the person im talking about is only 17 and @ risk of a heart attack. they are @ high risk too and well they are 17 they should be living the life of a teenager not worring about what they do cause it may cause them to have a heart attack and possibly die! there is only a few people who are close to my heart and this person is one of them and i dont know what i would do if i lost them due to death and plus my mom might have cancer and all of this is killing me. im stopping right now before i break out in tears!

You don't have to believe in God, believe in your friend, believe in the doctors who I'm sure are trying everything in their power to make sure they survive. Believe in the people out there donating to all sorts of cancer treatments and heart treatments that could very well save your friend and your mother (if it arises she is ill, though I hope in my heart she isn't). Most importantly though, believe in yourself. To be there for the people you care about, and if the worst comes to worst and there is no chance, spoil the hell out of them. Make them know that you are there 100%, give them the best life any person could ever dream of, and not only will they die the happiest they will have ever been, but it should make you feel better, knowing that they died happy and full of love for you.

The worst thing you can possibly do right now is mourn the living.

thank you this is the kinda help i need right now and im not mourning the living im scared about something else that only two people really know and so i guess this is the point i will be gone for maybe a week or two just to take time with this person and talk about anything they want

i think once i come beck my head will be held up higher and hopefully be back to my some what happy life

I dont know why, but when I'm in deep shit or in a bad situation, I will always give "god" the benefit of the doubt and ask the big guy for some help.

Apart from that, I find the christian religion very oppresive and forced.

I do beleive there was a guy called Jesus, and he died a painfull death on the cross, but he wasnt the son of god.

The bible is just a nice big story to pull sheets over peoples eyes and put their minds at rest.

Being a geologist, I firmly belive in evolution and the big bang, - red shift prooves the big bang anyway.

Religion has some good things going for it in principle. The ideals of most of the religions that I am familiar with are admirable to say the least. That being the case, it's truly deplorable and ironic that either directly, or indirectly, organised religion causes many of the evils it claims to abhor.
