Not that it's that important, but that song I was writing that I posted about a couple times won its first round so far. We called ourselves "critically acclaimed". Actually, it's not officially over yet, and there will be more votes, but they've already advanced our song to the next round. The other song was really wicked, I don't know why my song did so well. Next round I'm fucked, though.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their good wishes.
I managed to get back on my feet enough to make it to summer school today. I already want to go home, but I'm enduring as much as I can.

Imagine feeling like 2 million wires are plugged to each inch of your body, and they're all pulling you down. That's what this feels like...in case anyone wanted to know.

I love you all very mucho and can't wait to be well enough to get back into the habit of seeing what's going on. I've got tons of work to catch up on though, so I'll get going.

Thanks Ivan for making that thread. Unnecessary, but sweet thought. Thank you.

I don't want to see another liquor bottle for at least 2 days. I sprained my ankle last night because I forgot how to walk properly. Stupid drunk...

The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie.

There's a lesson to be learned here kids, don't move around if you plan on getting incredibly pissed. Typical youngsters, don't know the ins and outs of it all yet. Everybody knows that if you're really drunk and you move, you will fall into a thorny bush (or something that will cause a myriad of scratches), doesn't matter if you're in a skyrise apartment or in a grassy field, it'll happen. It's like the mystery of vegetables in your spew, nobody can explain it, it just happens.

My brother and I were wondering...

Would a thread about racist/discriminatory jokes go down well with the crowd on these forums?
I know it's breaking the rules, but...yeah.
I was thinking that maybe if the rules were really strict it could work and entertain us all.

It's a horrible thing to say, but I find myself making these types of remarks very often, and it sucks, but at least I keep them to myself and I don't personally attack anyone.

Anyway, I was thinking that maybe if we said that you can't attack anyone specifically, just their culture or country, it could work.
No one would be allowed to feel offended by the jokes, because they are only generalizations, not specific examples, and if anyone has a problem with the idea, they could just not come into the thread.

Would anyone else be down for it? Who knows.
Maybe it's just Mez and Dez with the sick minds. :s

Not fussed to be honest, generally if I hear someone say a racist/discrimblah (word's too long) joke and it isn't in good taste then I just take the person to be the joke and laugh at them, but if it's all harmless, I don't see why not.
