I have a question, why are you paying for your own birthday shindig? Shouldn't someone else be doing that?

Mommy doesn't love me! *cries*

The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie.

i'm an agoraphiliac, watch out if you ever see me on the bus.

Amid the chaos of that day, when all I could hear was the thunder of gunshots, and all I could smell was the violence in the air, I look back and am amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true, that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record: you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool. And sometimes Clarence asks me what I would have done if he had died, if that bullet had been two inches more to the left. To this, I always smile, as if I'm not going to satisfy him with a response. But I always do. I tell him of how I would want to die, but that the anguish and the want of death would fade like the stars at dawn, and that things would be much as they are now. Perhaps. Except maybe I wouldn't have named our son Elvis.

The word was agoraphiliac, not agoraphobia. the suffix "phobia" refers to a fear or dislike, while the suffix philiac refers to an attraction for, or a liking of.

Well whatever... maybe you are talking about something different...

Hey, I don't have a dictionary... I am going to assume that Dobs' definition is the correct definition, since he seems like an intelligent and reliable person.

Unfortunately, agoraphiliac is a love of open or populated spaces. Unfortuantely there's so many phobias/philias that start with that kind of thing (in the a-something or other) that it'll take me a bit of time to actually find what dobs should have said. Meanwhile all this is taking me away from work I should be doing for uni, but oh well, this is more fun.

Right, this is what I have so far...

Agraphobia is a fear of sexual abuse, which could be interpretted as touching, or rubbing against someone. So conversely agraphilia should be the love of such things (and one letter missing could easily be the cause of confusion). Unfortunately I couldn't actually find a long enough philia list to complement the phobia list, but in case anyone cares these are the two links I used:

Phobia List

Philia list

Anyway, now that's over and done with I can finish this application.

careful with the spellings here, people. i understand agoraphilia to be either:
a) love of open places (from agora - where the greeks engaged in trade)
b) arousal from having sex in public places

hope this clears some things up.
