Getting Away With Murder

FUCKING AMAZING.

I've always liked Papa Roach but this is better than everything they've done before, they sound alot more mature.

One of the best new albums i've heard in a long time.

Anyone else have it?

I haven't got the album, but it's on my list to buy!

I like the song 'Getting Away with Murder' though, it's seems like they've grown a bit and matured musically.

Random note - they all lost weight. 'Cept the drummer. Odd.

Way better than thier last two discs! Hopefully the next disc can beat this one. Glad to see that the whole rap/rock thing is over.

I've only heard the single so I can't pass judgement upon the rest of the album.

I have to say I think the single GAWM is terrible. The lyrics are pretty contrived and I don't feel a lot of the singing.

That said, I like the bass tone they used on that song. Sounds almost industrial.

Ya, I was pretty impressed as well.

The only songs I knew of them were Broken Home and Last Resort and that was only because they got implanted into my head after being played 8 million times on the radio.

I checked out the album, I would say half of it is really kicking ass for me, its not a bad purchase, but they have absolutly become something really promising and they sound better than the older stuff.

Oddly last resort and such sound pretty depressing, there is quite a bit of positivty on some of these songs on this new cd, maybe they found god or something like that to inspire a new sound.

Whatever it is, I can dig it!

last resort is an anti-suicide song. i saw an interveiw from them a long time ago where they said it was meant to express how stupid suicide is or something like that

at first, i loved the new album. but now its just alright. kind of a hollow album, with lyrics that don't really hold their own. (i look around and sometimes i get sad cause i don't know which way to go)? kinda cheesey to me. i think if they stick to this new style and put a bit more effort into the next album it'll be sweet

I'm one of those people who don't focus on lyrics very often so maybe its why I enjoy it so much.

I don't think it's a matter of putting more effort into making an album. Any album takes a hell of a lot of effort to make. I think it's more about refining a sound.

Remember, albums are merely snap shots of where bands are at the moment. Bands are continually evolving.
