Good Charolette
So boys and girls.. Good Charolette, in my mind the worst band to ever appear in the public spot light. Not only do they lack in serious talent, but I
believe that they are all homosexual lovers.
Thank you.
Vote, what's your take on this band?
one last show.

i do hate the band, and what they stand for, but just because i dont like the band (and most of the music they play) im not going to automatically
write off all their music as bad. i'll give it a chance. so as i was saying, i like the verse of their now single. that's as much as they
are gunna get from me.

i chose none of the above.
there is no grim demise for good charlotte that either man or fate can design, that could adequately appease me.
good charlotte, die.
to top things off, they credit the beastie boys with being their inspiration for starting to make music. how can something so ugly be made from
something so great?
Amid the chaos of that day, when all I could hear was the thunder of gunshots, and all I could smell was the violence in the air, I look back and am
amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true, that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record:
you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool. And sometimes Clarence asks me what I would have done if he had died, if that bullet
had been two inches more to the left. To this, I always smile, as if I'm not going to satisfy him with a response. But I always do. I tell him
of how I would want to die, but that the anguish and the want of death would fade like the stars at dawn, and that things would be much as they are
now. Perhaps. Except maybe I wouldn't have named our son Elvis.

If I am not mistaken, on last night's interview they also said that Greenday and The Ramones were part of the influence.

Although I'm not a fan I can recognize that they write songs with incredible hooks. In fact, so many hooks that most people can't handle
it.

Think Good Charolotte are ok. There are alot worse bands out there. They are a horrible interview though. And as for Greenday being an ifluence, thats
no suprize Greenday has been around 10 years!

I was just saying, they've been around for along time and have been one of the more significant bands so it's not suprising that newer
bands might be heavily inluenced by them.

green day's biggest influence is a band called The Sticky Little Fingers, who are one of the pioneer groups of the punk rock movement in the
70's who more or less created the three-chord gained-out minimalist rock style. the ramones took the music style and turned it into JUST
'style'. i just dont understand why while bands continue to find 'influence' [read: beg, borrow and steal] it becomes more
about the style/image than about the actual music itself.
in my less than humble opinion, good charlotte is an exaggeration of sacrificing music for style.

if you're talking about everything i said in the first sentence, then yeah, i 'got that from high fidelity'
and i'm not saying it to try to pick up darlene from roseanne.

I dislike the style more than the band, I'm sure they're good as a punk rock band, but then you don't really need to be high on the
talent scale to fit into that category.
