Fact or Crap
ok, here's how we do this, someone posts an FoC (Fact or Crap) statement, you answer it with either Fact, or Crap, and an expanation and then
make your own statement.
Example:
FoC: Nirvana created Grunge
Crap: they gave it a form in which the public could relate to, but Niel Young came before them, and he is the "grandfather of grunge"
get it? good.
mkay, FoC: we will not see annother legendary rock band such as Led Zeppelin in our lifetime.
Some things take more than a lifetime.

ohhh good post. ok Led Zeppelin, no we will never see another legendary rock group like them. It is impossible i think. With music so devided, like
rap, and pop. there is really no happy medium what everyone can enjoy... I have alot more to add to this and i'll do it after my exam tomorrow,
but i gtg to bed

personally i think its crap. music is divided but i think dif genres are slowly coming together
but aside of that, each type of music can have its own legendary band or group or soloist. except maybe pop....anyway, i think rock will have another
legendary band that will, imo, bring together all/or many types of rock into one badass sound

the point is once you answer one, you make up your own statement.

I belive that the statement is fact. Clearly time lasts for ever. Within that span of time, someone has to come out with some decent tracks..Maybe
another Stairway. You never know.
Haha, Ian.. You should've made this thread FoF.. Fact or Fuck off. Lol?
Anywho FoC- Clearly the days of hair metal are over. However, their bound to make their return.

what do you mean by "hair metal"? are you talking about the look, or the type of music? because there are bands around that do one, the
other, or both. i saw some dude with a mullet yesterday, actually.

I saw a woman with a mullet the other day, myself.
Perhaps he means Glam Rock. Where all the guys look like girls. I can't see that fad coming back at all...but it could happen. I'd much
rather see that then some of the other things going on these days.

Yah the huge fad prior to Metallica and what not. Big hair, mullets, tight pants, high pitch signing and dancing like girls. That type of thing.
Will it ever return?

Fact: It will return, it's called The Darkness.
FoC: Soon we will be seeing a new style of music form, one different from all the styles we currently have.

fact, someone will always be able to think of something new. i hear that there is something called "japanese noise art" where those crazy
guys from asia make "music" out of pink noise and suchlike.
FoC: yellow is obviously yellow, but is it possible that what one person sees as yellow, another sees as green? (we'll assume neither are
colourblind.)

I'm going with fact. I've actually been questioning that very thing for years and just wish there were a way of actually working it out.
Since colours cannot be defined, at all. The only way a person can explain a colour is by saying, for instance, "blue is the colour of the
sky". It's not possible to write a definition of a particular colour.
FoC: There is no such thing as "normal".

Crap: normal is man-made, but not arbitrary: is generally has something to do with an average. therefore it exists and can be referred to, and sense
will usually be made.
FoC? our brains are capable of a huge amount more than we use them for (apparently we use less than 10% of our brains, but what i think is that the
rest is for the incredible amount of stuff we do subconciously. then again, i don't know a great deal about that kind of thing)
