Oopsy!

So we've all had our little bloopers on these forums. People get confused, banned(not to mention any names) or made fun of because of stupid little things that we do. As humans, we all make mistakes, and clearly billions have been made here.
Example: Aside from the fact that I got banned, and then returned wearing a pink cape.... There was this one time...

Bart was talking about how he talks with Schembri quite often and said something like. "I usually talk to Schembri every weekend."

I, and my silliness-type self said something like "Geeze Bart, that's gotta be one big phone bill!"

Bart then said "You know, there is something called e-mail."

I felt so dumb.

Anywho, carry on.

Boo! Post your screw ups.

I met people from the Australian Army today. They were nice. Untill we started to wrestle. Then they just destroyed me.

Have screw ups all the time...they are not all that funny though. Like I would always confuse someones email up because they are similar.

Oh and way in the beginning I thought Chris was Chris Schembri.

Turns out, a lot of people thought that as well.

i registered.

Amid the chaos of that day, when all I could hear was the thunder of gunshots, and all I could smell was the violence in the air, I look back and am amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true, that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record: you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool. And sometimes Clarence asks me what I would have done if he had died, if that bullet had been two inches more to the left. To this, I always smile, as if I'm not going to satisfy him with a response. But I always do. I tell him of how I would want to die, but that the anguish and the want of death would fade like the stars at dawn, and that things would be much as they are now. Perhaps. Except maybe I wouldn't have named our son Elvis.

went to a foam party on friday and half way through, already soaked, i noticed my phone was in my pocket. all wet and soapy.
it was still working so i thought ok, it'll be fine, switched it off and gave it to my flatmate who put it in her handbag. continued partying.
got home, took the battery out and left it to dry for 24 hours for safety, tried to switch it on and it didn't work. panicked a bit and so left it on the radiator all day and tried again in the evening. still didn't work. borrowed a hairdrier off the same flatmate whose handbag it was in, and hairdried the hell out of it, while simultaneously radiating it. bit the bullet and plugged the fucker in. expecting it to fry i left it. half an hour later it said it was charging.

it's alive!

i guess the morals are twofold:
1. foam parties are great fun
2. it doesn't generally matter if electronics get wet as long as you remove power immediately and as long as there aren't huge amounts of memory which could get shorted out and screw up. just make sure it's really really dry before trying it again. my buddy george says his girlfriend spilt coke on his minidisc player (no he didn't dump her for it), and it was sticky and didn't work so he left it in a sink of hot water for an hour, dried it out completely and it worked like new.
there is no third moral. "don't take phones to foam parties" i hear you say, but that's startlingly obvious - no one would take a phone to a foam party. no one's that stupid.

Ah also, this one time my brain magically processed that Reivax backwards was none other than Xavier. Being rather new to the forms, I believe I called Canadian Chris Xavier once or twice.

I think I stopped after the first "Who is this Xavier guy that PIS is talking too?"

My deepest regrets.

quotation:

Boo! Post your screw ups.

Being the most un-subtle person on earth isn't a great gift to me. I usually screw up a few times a week or if I'm really unlucky, a few times a day. I think people forget after a while though. Either that, or the next stupid thing I do gets shunted into their memory over whatever I did before...
