"If you're goinnng to San... Fran, Sisco..."
... or LA.
As the majority of you are from North America/Canada I figured at least a few of you either live or have visited there.
I'm off there on the 9th, and I have some free time I haven't planned anything for, so I need recommendations on things to do, places to
go, shows to see, etc.
Thanking you all in advance for your expert travel guide-esque knowledge.

well are you going to LA, or just San Fransico?
if you go to San Fran, go visit Lombard Street, it's the city's windiest street. pretty cool actualy. it shouldnt be to hard to find,
seeing as everyone there knows it.
also, if you cross the golden gate bridge, you can go to this place called hawk hill. it's hill that has a few tunnels running through it, and
at the end there used to be two enormous cannons that were built to defend the bay during one of the wars. they were never actually used, and
eventually dissasembled, but the holes in which they were installed give you some idea the size of these guns. it's nuts. there's also a
little bunker on the top of the hill wich is pretty cool. and from the top of the hill, you get the best view of the bridge and city of anywere. i
highly suggest going there, directions are at the bottom of this page: www.ggro.org/camap.html
i can give you plenty more ideas about places in LA if you are going there, let me know.
Some things take more than a lifetime.

Yeah i'm going to both LA and SF.
Thanks for the ideas, i'm going to Lombard street, the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf already, and will try to get to those gun
things and the lone cypress.
Thanks Dez for the PM also.

The lone cypress is just a single tree on a hill overlooking the seaside, I'd say the real attraction is the very scenic drive to get there.
