Song Meanings
ok so The Livid has beautiful lyrics. im still not sure who writes the lyrics, but they do a really good job.
if anyone could post song meanings, to any song (none inparticular), that'd be great.
for example.. whos the blue knight that keeps watch beside Justin's wall?
If KoolAid had a fanclub, I'd be in it

Schembri wrote the lyrics for all the tracks on Fear of Fading, except the three from King of the Castle which were collaborative efforts between him
and Jeremy, the original singer.
I'm guessing maybe Hernandez had a part in a number of the songs off King of the Castle, but I'm sure one of the early band members can
tell you for sure on that.
As for The Ambition Within, I'm not sure, the sleeve just says "Music and lyrics by THE LIVID". I'm guessing it was a joint
venture between Chris and Justin though, but again, current band members could shed more light on that.
Edit: Oh, and Broke and Crossed, seeing as it is from Fear of Fading, was written by Chris, so it would seem he has the Blue Knight beside his
wall.

chris writes most if not all the lyrics nowadays. earlier jeremy (old singer) wrote some lyrics (see the fear of fading inlay - 1st edition, not 2nd)
christian (old bassist) wrote the reckless chorus. bits like that.
i'll tell you about the blue knight if i get permission.
and yes the lyrics are awesome.

i am always disapointed when i hear the real meanings of songs. just in general it is always about something that matters a whole lot less thank what
i would have thought.
the DL on the lyrics. most lyrics are chris, a bit of jeremy in the earlier stuff and now its pretty much all chris with some input on specific lines
by justin and also arrangments justin also gives input. as in the way the line is delivered and what tonality finally decided on.
the blue night is a great line tho.

yeah but sometimes its really cool.
like i happen to be a HUGE Hoobastank fan. and im sure everyone has heard Crawling in the Dark by them. well i found out it was actually the last song
they made for their self titled album... and its about doing all this hard work and making all these songs and nobody was giving them a record deal.
and they were about to give up.
then you go back and hear it and its like HEY! i get it now!
If KoolAid had a fanclub, I'd be in it

Seriously though... the song lyrics are there for you guys to interpret on your own. Some people may relate to a song in a different way than other
people. I always find that certain songs by my favorite bands coincide with certain things going on in my life at the time. Thats what makes you want
to hear it again. Hope that helps dude. Peace

They are, he's just realized he can't go back and delete the post anymore, so he's trying to cover up the truth with some bull about
how the songs are all about whatever you want to make of them.
you won't let me down...

I like how Chistian is just thrown in there with the snakes and spiders...
oh my god! i just realized that the whole album is about christian drowning in a pool full of snakes and spiders, with his waterwings just our of
reach.
Some things take more than a lifetime.
