Well, I'll be damned. Youre song has already been voted on. I think this have changed since they let every person that has been approved for
tabbing to be able to vote.
Unfortunately, you've already been thrown into the "not yets" because you forgot to add the chord names above the tab.

There are no links yet, because it's not added. It's just waiting to be submitted. When it gets added, you'll know.
And Bart you're halfway there to avoiding the capital letters. The one guy sent the tab to the approved column. Now all you have to do is get by
the final person who submits them. I'm noticing that alot of the voters are getting alot less picky and alot quicker with their votes, which is
great. You still run into the occasional guy that is anal, though.

should have known - i'm not getting the email from registering on their forums either. same domain so it'll be the same problem. since it
makes sense to have the same username on the archives and on the forum, i'll wait for that to expire and register again, then i'll post my
view.
my view is that the chord names should be included. i know i was telling you how they're a waste of time last night, but what i mean by that is
that on most of the tabs i've seen on powertabs.net they are a waste of time. if done properly they could add a lot to the tab. for certain
styles of music they'll be spot on anyway.
what i'm against is adding chord names for every single chord. this is what most people currently do and it's silly - a fast riff of
chords generally isn't part of the chord progression of the song but rather a melody of its own, on top of a main chord which may last that bar,
for instance. in these cases this main chord should be written, not "E5 G5 A5 F5 E5 D5 E5 G5" etc.
another reason adding the name of each and every chord is silly is because people who don't understand Fmaj7add6+11 (there's one in at the
seams ) will just hit f12 and pick the first on the list for each chord. this is what i was encouraged to do and i noted that 90% of them were
wrong. they were right for the notes in question, but wrong in context. this is useless if you want to play by the names rather than the numbers -
it'll sound way off.
the chord names should be, in short, so that you can strum basic chords along to the song without the passing chords.

I know that most of the names are wrong, and I know one of the reasons why that is, but I generally will just hit f12, as well. If that's what
they want, then so be it. I don't really know any different anyway.
I completely agree about the ever changing 5th's and how you shouldn't have to put every single chord. It just looks stupid.
I really wouldn't worry that much about having the same name in the forums. I know a ton of people that have different names for the 2. You
could also register under another name and ask one of the admins to change it for you. My name on the forum is Reivax, but on the archive, my name is
thelividfan.

Yeah, it's weird, but I've been going by that name for a while for a couple other sites where Reivax had already been taken.
Btw, you've been thrown back into the NotYets, because you have to add floating text explaining the tuning. It's a relatively new rule,
but I think it's a good one.

Oh, you're going to love the new vote on your tab, Bart. http://www.powertabs.net/pta.php?page=subfile,13680 Obviously you're going to
have to explain the "chord problems" to him yourself. Also, he claims your tab moves near the bottom when you hit the "score
polisher". That's another big one that they get on you about.

I've been caught on the score polisher, too. Whenever I submit a tab I find that I score polish every couple seconds. They're always
watching out for that.
I was going to make a comment to them about the chords, but I just let it be and waited for you to say something.

indeed. it's only the intro. on page 4, it's about 3/4 of the way down. and it's the same tuning as The Tide and Test Run, Drop D
and down 2 full steps i believe.
Some things take more than a lifetime.

Another note about your tab submission, Bart, they normally want double bars added just before each new rehearsal sign. Sorta to signify the ending of
one. I'm surprised they haven't thrown that at you yet.
All the things I've meationed are things I've been caught for. It's too many to keep up, really.

i did that with some tabs. you're also meant to have an "end" double barline (thin then thick) when you have a D.C. or D.S. but
powertab doesn't let you do that.
i'm hoping that once this tab is up the others will get on there a lot quicker.
reivax already knows this, but i've been revising the tabs as i went. i've made a lot of corrections, so if you've learnt the songs
and want to play them accurately you should check the tabs out as they get accepted to powertab. i'm sure there'll be posts here when they
are.

Your tabs will be alot quicker now that you've had one submitted. Also, now you sort of understand how they work and some of the things they are
looking for in their voting.
Odds are I'll be the only one voting on it, but it has some downloads so far which is good. I think other guitarists from this site should sign
up there and vote on it. It will make it look better.
