well i asked amanda and she said she couldnt do it. so it looks like we've run into the same problem as almost every other band: we dont have a
bass player.
i started recording the backup guitar today. it sounds alright, but not really acoustic enough for my tastes. if anyone can record an acoustic guitar
that would be ideal. if not, we can use mine. i'll post it later tonight and you all can tell me what you think.

What song are we doing? I need to work on the vocal arrangement...
Is it gonna be just me, or are we gonna do some harmonies?
you won't let me down...

alright done with the backup guitar. as i said it doesnt really sound as acoustic as i would have liked but it was the best i could do.
when we figure out the drums/bass, i may want to re-record it... maybe a bit slower too. but for now here's what we have to work with.
hmm. it seems to be too big to upload. 7.5 megs was as small as i could get it. Bart, maybe i could e-mail it to you, and you could post it?

what software are you using? if the quality of the guitar is low, then you should have no worries on lowering the bit rate of the track, which would
make your file quite smaller in size. Normaly to do so, u could open your track in ur Sequencer or Recording software, resave the track go in the
options of saving, make sure u take MP3 format cause that alone compresses the audio track, then in the options u can change the bit rate, you could
probably lower it to as little as 96 kps without killing the sound seeing you only have one track and its low quality to begin with. if you have any
questions email me, or even email the tune and i'll see if I can shrink it down, or fix up the sounds with some of my stuff. Take it easy

Oh and making the track mono instead of stereo.. would cut it down in size aswell. As far as a guitar track goes i personaly think u should record it
mono, then if you want to stereo pan it after wards, make a duplicate of the mono track and pan where ever, and add what ever effect to either or both
of the mono track. In your multitrack session a lot of stuff can / should be recorded mono.

since it's one track it should of course be mono. stereo is only when you are mixing two or more tracks with positioning. assuming this is a
4-minute song in mp3, 7.5mb is fine. if that's in stereo, you'd have good quality there. if it was mono, that's overkill. but
overkill's always good when putting a recording together.
however, next time you see me on msn, ian, give me a shout.

Ian for vocals male wise, try talking to Chadly, Im betting its on how busy he is and how quickly he can get it together. But I know I would enjoy
hearing him in this.
