Why hasn't Chris been singing all along?

Sounds better than Justin if you ask me.

Serious? I completely disagree, but that's cool. Justin's vocals blow my mind. Chris is definitely good, though.

To me, their voices sound similar...but Justin's voice is more polished. I think that's the word I'm looking for here...

The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie.

That's exactly what I thought, I was really impressed with Chris' voice.

its not always easy to sing and play at the same time. i know it comes easier to some than others. personally i can only sing while playing when i play songs that require only strumming of chords, like reach.

chris does do a lot of backing vocals though, especially in the live songs

Personally I like both Chris' and Justin's voices, Ive heard Chris sing in several other songs from a previous band, and it blew me away.

that comes with practice. once you know the vocal part and the guitar part so well individually it becomes easier to put them together, even if the guitar part is complicated.

personally, i think justin's voice is fantastic. chris's voice probably suits certain styles of music a little better. remember that you shouldn't judge chris's voice completely by this recording - it's pretty rough, and it's raw (no sneaky effects or editing). plus it's, as far as i know, the first time he's recorded lead vocals. we'll have to wait and see if he sings in any music he writes in the future.

I totally agree, skembry has an awesome voice, he should def use it.

Justin was good, and alot of people found his voice sexy.... but it was always a little too "clean" for me.

I find Justin's voice to be better, I can see what Mark means though, about the "clean" thing, but he has a more controlled voice as well.

Emo is emotional, you're effectively saying you hate emotional music, which doesn't make a lot of sense since you exhibit such strong feelings towards it, if the music can bring out such strong hatred in you it's obviously doing its job, had you been indifferent towards the genre then that'd be a whole different story. Besides emo is such a broad genre you are shunning 90% of the music out there, The Livid included.
