Do the old members still get paid?

just wondering if the old members from the band (i.e. Jeremy and co.) still get a cut of the profits - i.e. from thier work on the first 2 cds?

I don't think the livid sells enough copies to warrent paying the other members. Even if they did Chris was/still is the main writer in the band.

WHAT!!??? WE GOT PAID?????

the older albums is a cost recovery system... all money used gets put back into the livid for other expenses... thats the way it was and i think thats the way it still is.....

besides... the idea behind this whole deal is to get these boyz a deal and make some cash... i will see rewards in the future when my buds are huge and i get into all the shows for free... (oh right... i already do..)

peace

Better question: how many copies of each in existence?

can I find my faults // leave them and start // to find myself?

i would not know how many copies have been sold... i would say a few 1000 of KoC and maybe 1000 of FoF.... but that is an obvious guess... to be honnest we didn't sell all that much... and that is cuz most of the fans would DL the stuff before it was even for sale.... But hey it got us fans at the time and i am sure it still does so the Net was a great tool for us...

Yeah, the Net rules when it comes to finding out about relatively obscure bands, especially relatively obscure bands in other countries.

Only 500 copies of Fear Of Fading were produced and I still have a shitload of them in my closet. The old band doesn't get paid for them because I paid to get the CD's pressed and am therefore still trying to make my money back. I also made and still make all the KOTC copies by hand. We don't sell those records at shows, we only sell them online. Once the copies of Fear Of Fading are gone we're not getting any more done.

Woah, only 500? 500? Damn, and I have a copy, hey, I could be the only Aussie with FoF. Makes me feel special (waits for Schembri to mention some other Aussie fan who bought the cds just to put an end to my uniqueness).

Sweet that few, if this band ever goes big I will have a collectors item, I have to get to one of your concerts, which is unlikely me living in missouri, I will have to have it signed, lol. You really shoulda put some shipping on there, sending it halfway through the states, or god-forbid to Australia musta cut down on the profits quite a bit. By the way chris, I was wondering, since they were obviously cd-r's, which I didn't mind, did you do the recording and production yourselves?

I'm pretty sure I did pay shipping, albeit not much (compared to other things I've gotten from the States, UK, etc). I think it was 2 or 3 Canadian Dollars extra, something like that, I might still have the e-mail.
