LIVID RINGTONES
Hey,
I know...I know...I havn't posted in a long time...no scolding...just thought of the forum when I came up with this idea...or I think I did...
Anyways, I recently bought a cable to transfer my pictures/videos etc and upload games and ringtones to my cellphone. I thought, hey...these ringtones
are midi files...so I downloaded a couple livid tabs...GP5 --> export as midi files and PRESTO! livid ringtones...well here's an example of
one...what do you guys think? good? bad?
Well I'll probably be around once in a blue moon...
take care,
Nick.

some of it sounds pretty cool, but the parts where the music cuts out sounds kinda crappy, like it's a glitch in the midi, it doesnt sound
intentional. but the chorus, prechorus and bridge do sound really cool.

Lol, weird..it doesn't do that on my phone...also, I guess the sound samples are different or something...but it sounds better on my
phone...I'm using egzit...but the intro was so long I modified it a bit....but still sounds really cool.

Why don't you just use an mp3 as your ringtone?

That it is. Atleast that was my excuse. Well, partially...my old phone's lcd screen broke so I need a new phone anyway but since I
couldn't use mp3 ringtones or txtmsg or camera and stuff I spent 300 bucks on a Motorola v557 (I think thats what it is anyway). I got my camera
and mp3 ringtones. I still haven't activated internet or txtmsg on it though.
I never thought about using The Livid ringtones before until I saw this thread. So I chopped the chorus' out of the 06 EP tracks and now I have
4 new ringtones
I learned of another new feature I'm thinking of doing. I don't remember what its called but basicly if you have this enabled when someone
calls you it plays a song instead of the "ring ring" that the world is used to. Took me off gaurd the first time I called someone with
that. Although I've heard you have a certain "list" of songs to choose from that the phone company has access too so I might not be
able to use The Livid or something if I wanted.

are you saying that with this feature when you call someone, instead of their usual ringtone they hear a song you've chosen?

I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. when someone calls you, you will hear whatever ringtone that you have chosen, but they will
hear a ringtone that you have chosen for them to listen to. atleast that's what i think he's talking about. my friend has it set up that
way so when you call her, you hear someone say "please enjoy the music while your party is reached" and then you get to listen to santana.
it's pretty cool.

except when they purposely choose a really annoying song, and you feel like hanging up instead of waiting for the person to pick up...and then person
calls you out for being a bitch and not waiting for him to pick up...and then you tell him he probably should have chosen a song that didn't
make you feel like slitting your wrists and running into a wall of spiked glass...and then he says 'so, anyway..what's up
'foo?'
i will never ever ever ever reach 5000 posts.
but i felt like wasting a post. so there.
you won't let me down...
