First CD
Does anybody else find that King of the Castle is a bit quiet? Especially compared to the new songs? Also, does anyone know where it was
recorded/mastered?

It probably wasn't mastered at as high a volume as the new stuff.
Plus the general trend in the recording industry is to make an album as loud as it possibly can be these days.

i bought both KotC and FoF and when i ripped them to my comp i get 192kb on all of them. thats not the kind of quality they were all recorded in
though. most bands first cd is usually not as high of quality b/c they dont always have the money to put into making a high quality cd.

KotC seems like a garage job, considering there's no props to a company for producing it and Schembri has said that he copies the cds himself,
so I guess it was recorded at his place.

It was definantly recorded at a studio. In fact I believe it's a compilation of some songs that were recorded over a few year period with time
that was won from Battle of the bands.

Yeah, those songs were all recorded with free recording time. Most of them at the same place where we recorded fear of fading. KOTC wasn't
mastered or recorded to a click track. It was done really quickly.
