he uses the equivalent of an Ibanez JS1000. the actual model he uses isn't sold any more, and i've forgotton what it's called. but it's the same thing, pretty much. he has 3 of them, for different tunings.

From what i remember from shows, he has 2 JS ibanez guitars, and one RG 470, HE uses 2 pre-amps a peavey 5150 and one Hughes and Kettner, he has many pedals like the digitech whammy, boss phaser and stuff, .. thats what i remember seeing.

You guys are gear freaks eh?? Here is the scoop.

A 1989 Ibanez Radius (now called the JS1000) tuned to Eb, Bb, Eb, Ab, Bb, Eb (Eb sus4 open)

A 2001 Ibanez JS100 tuned to Db, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb (Drop D down a half step)

A 2002 Ibanez RGT42 tuned to Eb, Bb, Eb, Gb, Db, Eb (Eb minor 7 open)

All three of these guitars have Seymour Duncan PA-TB2 pickups at the bridge position.

The amp info posted is correct, a 5150 II and a Hughes & Kettner ATTAX 200, both coming out of a stereo Hughes & Kettner 4x12 cab. I use the 5150 II for distortion and crunch. The ATTAX 200 is just for clean, which always has chorus on it. I use the lead channel with the gain on low to get a bit of a dirty clean sound for parts like the beginning of egzit and shit like that...

As for effects, I have two boards which you can see in one of the pics in the pics section. On one board I have my 5150 II footswitch, my Morley AB box (to switch amps), my Boss TU-2 tuner and my digitech XP100 Whammy-Wah. The other board has my Hughes & Kettner footswitch, a Boss phaser, a Boss flanger and a Boss tremolo pedal running through the FX loop of the ATTAX 200. It also has a Boss chorus pedal and a Boss noise suppressor running through the 5150 II's FX loop.

Any questions??

I don't know how long it took. It's a combination of almost everything I've bought since I started playing. Minus a couple of shitty processors, pedals or guitars I bought along the way that I got rid of.

You should post a new topic for Drum gear so Adam can answer your questions himself.

You said you've got a stereo cab Chris. I've never taken a look at the back of your rig so I was wondering. Is yours an actual stereo cab or is it there a switch on the back that lets you toggle between mono and stereo? Also is your cab hughes and kettner? I can't remember.

Hey Jeff. It has no switch. You need to use both cables to make both sides work.
And yeah, it's a Hughes.

Nice, I was wondering cause I use my marshall cab on stereo but I have to flip a button to switch from the mono option.

Right on Bart. The Boss flangers rock. I'm assuming it's boss cuz you said it was pink. See you're still listening to Master Of Puppets. You must be getting really good at the guitar.

Sanitarium was just on the radio on my way home from work. That's truly a great album do get yourself good at playing.

Speaking of equipment. Most of you know I bought a radius recently and I'm even happier now than when I got it.

At first it was going flat every once in a while. Now it does not go out of tune at all. I should bring mine to the next show just in case Chris breaks another string. I don't want to have to miss sink again.

I'd feel sort of silly bringing my guitar to Toronto. And they probably wouldn't even let it into the venue, seeing as it could look like I am stealing someones guitar.
But it sure is an interesting thought...

I found an old peavey chorus pedal today, actually. Dusting away in our basement. And it even works. I am very surprised. Thing is, that it makes the distortion sound better more so than the clean tone. On my peice of shit amp, anyway.

I also found an old flanger and delay pedal in the basement, as well. I highly doubt they work though.

How do you pronounce that anyway...."flanger"? Is it Flan-jer or flang-er. I've heard people use both pronunciations. So I've always kind of wondered.

I also have a basement.

All my pedals are built in to one little machine thing. I hate new tech., it's too neat! Part of being a guitarist is having all these little pedals to step on. Now, I just push up/down arrows. I'm depressed.

one last show.

What. Do you live in an apartment?

Anyway, I'm going to test them out actually. See if I can fix them. I'm the most unhandy person out there, but somehow I can fix my pedals. I've had to fix my multi-effects pedal dozens of times and it always seems to work.

These pedals are peices of shit, anyway. Really old, no name brands. I remember years ago using them and I remember them being peices of shit. I just completely forgot they were there. It's probably been five years since I have seen them.

I've got an hour to blow right now since my girfriend is watching "the O.C.". I'll go play with 'em and see what happens.
