Just want to say a few things
Hi, out there. I am a relatively new fan of the Livid. I have known of them for a long while. My brother, I think used to run their webpage and do
some lighting at their shows. But being an older brohter, I thought that his music couldn't be any good. But I decided to listen to their first
album and I like quite a bit of it, but not quite enough to go nuts.
A couple years later (now), I heard sink and release and I was quite blown away. Then I d/l'ed ablsolutely everything I could get on the
band...and it shocked me that every single damn song could be that good. They are, to me, one of those few bands that come along that shock you
because they are so good.
The tabs on this site sound like they are going to be good. I am currently getting the reader so I can get them. It would be great to see Broke and
Crossed on the list of tabs. I think that is their best song I have heard so far.
I would like to know, since the band I guess is different than it was a couple years ago, who sings which songs? Is it the current lineup that
recorded the more recent album? I am just confused because the singer sounds the same in every song I have ever heard.
Thanks..

Welcome to the boards. I'll try my best to answer your questions.
Jeremy Hernandez, the old singer sings on the albums "King of the Castle" and "Fear Of Fading."
Justin Humes, the new singer, doesn't have his voice on any albums, however you can find him singing, and the whole new band playing on Shaded,
Sink and the new versions of clear me and broke and crossed I believe.
Some more new recordings are being finished up as we speak.
Hope that helps a bit.

That's pretty amazing. He sounds just like the old singer. If sink has a completely different singer from the rest of the songs. Thanks.

They do sound alike but not completely. Listen to Justin's annunciation, it's much more 'proper' than Jeremy's and
sounds more trained wheras Jeremy's annunciation and diction are more relaxed and you can't always tell what he's saying.
Also, Justin sings much more cleanly on recordings wheras Jeremy somtimes incorporated a bit of a rasp on some words.
Just a few little things.

I think the Livid are selling 4 song demos at shows now which have Justin on them. There are versions of B&C and Clear Me with Justin singing.

Yeah, Justin sings on Release, but it's not on the 4 song demo they were selling though.

It's still pretty beyond me. But all that matters is that they still sound so good. I'd still be a little hesitent on hearing the other
versions, seeing as I have grown to love so many of the songs the way they already are.
I am from Burlington, but unfortunately I have been residing in the hell hole which is Edmonton for 3 years. The place where my fiance is from. So,
I'm sure I won't be seeing any of their shows too soon.
I would definately love to buy their demos and CD's (they deserve every penny), however, given my location, I have to burn their songs.
Thanks for all the information, guys.
BTW, Elisha Cuthbert has owned me for many, many years. Ever since the early PMK.

Reivax - check the Music&Merch page on the main area of the site if you want to order cds (or t-shirts...)
The demos aren't selling by internet/mail order though - as far as I know, you'll have to get your way to a show for those. And
don't forget to check out www.mp3.com/thelivid - there are always a couple of songs free to download there.
