Dream Interpretations

Hey everyone!!!

I thought I'd start a thread as soon as I got back, and well..the time has come.
While I was on the plane I jotted down different ideas for a thread..this is just one of them.

Have you ever had a really funny/scary/weird/cool dream? Maybe you'd like to share it with the rest of the crowd, (if you want to, there is no obligation)

Also, I find that dreams always mean something..and sometimes it can be qutie obvious or hard to figure out what our dreams could mean.
So, if anyone feels that they'd like to comment on one of their dreams and have it "interpreted" I think it would be kinda cool.

My mother is a psychologist, so I'm actually good at helping out with this stuff.

Again, you don't NEED to do this.
I agree that people's privacy should be respected, and dreams can sometimes be very personal. So, if you want to..type it up, if not you could always just read everyone else's and help out with the interpretation.

Take care guys,
Dez

You wouldn't be necessairly staring at the screen if you looked up, thus missing Chris' post. But why do I keep going into this go-karting place and there's a pool instead of a track.. then I end up dying in the water??? It seems to be re-occouring.

How do you stop nightmares? Or more specifically work-mares? I've been having a lot of those lately. Damn overtime!!

Chris, you're too smart for me hunna...You're right, looking up would in fact make me look at the ceiling..but, what if I slightly move my eyesight from the point I am focusing on now, a little bit higher up? That would make my eyes meet with Chris' post.

Anyway...

-Go karting dream:
Since I don't know the whole dream it's kinda hard to make an evaluation but I gotta ask you first ..Do you enjoy go karting? I mean is it something you frequently do or something?

The reason why you see a pool instead of a track is because you are seeing difficult tasks ahead of you that seem "impossible"
(think about racing a go kart on a pool)
You end up drowning in the pool because you feel overwhelmed about something right now, even though you might not think you are..
Maybe it's school , your family or something that has to do with yourself or the people around you.

-DeeDee:
I've had dreams about Justin Timberlake..will I share them? HELL NO.
Ahh..memories...

Ish:
-You can't stop nightmares just like that..
Unless you can work on completely clearing your mind before you go to sleep..(takes a lot of meditation and concentration but it does work) That way you can release all of your stress and it won't "haunt " you in dreams.
Everything that happens in a nightmare is reflecting an aspect of your life, I think that precisly because you are doing overtime you are more vulnerable to have dreams in which the stress you're feeling takes over.

I think that all made sense..if not I'm sorry guys!

i dreamt that my friend and i were walking through a neiborhood of mansions and there was water flowing strongly everywhere, through the streets and up over the houses and it was so awesome. then we got to his house and there was a little beer fridge stocked with beer and stuff, so we started drinkin a beer and then we had to leave for some reason, so we put our half beers back in the fridge and left walking through the streets again, then we got to highway 401 and were waiting to run across, after we ran across, we went to another friends house who had the same beer fridge, and it was a teleporter beer fridge cuz when i opened it and looked inside, there was our half beers. then i was all excited about this teleporter beer fridge. then i just wanted to teleport eveything i coud find, including myself all over the place. but i woke up before i could do it. is it bad when you dream about beer??

It's not bad to dream about beer, because really "beer" is something else.

I just think that the whole teleporting thing with beer means something else, I don't really know much about you..but my educated guess is that "beer" is really something you find amusement or comfort in (it is not literally drinking beer) and it's something that seems to be waiting for you wherever you go..and the fact that it's the same fridge it's that it's the same thing..

The reason why the houses were overflowing with water..is because you were leaving behind something that was troubling/stressing you..

You crossed the 401:
That just means that you're doing something daring and exciting but at the same time it also means that you are/have/will succeed/succeeded at something that was difficult to do. (think about the logistics of crossing the 401)

I already interpreted this one with the help of my psychiatrist..but! I thought I'd share one of my dreams, it's only fair.

I dreamt that my parents had dropped me off in my house, said they would be right back.
I walked inside my house and all the lights were out, all the bulbs were broken, there was a single circle cut into each glass window and all the curtains had a black stripe of paint going down them, there was mud everywhere and my fridge was open, when I walked to the fridge there were 2 corpses of 2 women inside, when I opened the fridge door, both fell at my feet. When I picked up the phone to call the police there was no tone and a voice said "You have 3 minutes to get out of your house" I said "Or what" and all of a sudden my living room caught on fire and as I looked my brother was hanging from something, with no eyes.

Doors were locked and I couldn't get out of my house, I jumped out a window and died in my dream.

Then woke up.

K DeZe, gotta help me out. I was travelling down the credit river, in a tube. (I had planned to do this several days before) And I ended up going into some sewer. Then, out of no where, the tube disappeared and I ended up walking down the sewer. There was hardly any water, but there was the ocasional puddle. I came to the end of this one section, when out of the blue, Penguin and the Joker were conspiracing to kill the rest of the world. I dunno what happened after, but I woke up. Whats wrong with me?

Chris...I'll get to you in a second hunna, it's like a lightbulb just went on in my head haha, your dream is an easy one and there's nothing wrong with you..I'll tell you in a sec why..just let me talk about "sleep walking"

Dee..If you're serious about sleep walking, or..it's medical term "Somnambulism" There can be a bunch of reasons why this is happening,

Anxiety
Fatigue
Sleep Loss..

(These are the reasons for sleep walking in CHILDREN..(yes, I consider you a child still since you are not past the age of majority)

If you were an adult it has to do with reactions to alcohol, drugs, stress and other stuff..it also becomes related to a syndrome in your mind...but, let's not worry about that...you got the 3 magic lil words above..

(I'm reading books and checking health sites like fucking crazy haha, here are the symptoms I found)

Symptoms

* eyes open during sleep
* may have blank facial expression
* may sit up and appear awake during sleep
* walking during sleep
* other detailed activity during sleep, any sort
* no recall of the event upon awaking
* confusion, disorientation on awakening
* sleep talking is incomprehensible and non-purposeful

There is no specific treatment girl, all that you CAN do (since you're telling me this is frequent) is make sure you make an appointment with a psychologist (At least a social worker) and just try and figure out where all the excessive stress and anxiety are coming from, (unless of course you already know)
That's the only way to solve this!

my sleep walking hasnt happened TOO recently, so maybe i am okay.

But examples of in the past...
I woke up in the living room sleeping on the couch. So i went back up stairs and there was NOTHING on my bed, just a matress... so i woke up my mom and asked her what the hell happened, so we went back down stairs, and my sheets were all done up on the floor beside the couch, as if i was going to sleep there.
isnt that kinda wierd? how come i was on the couch then?
and what scares me is that i must have taken off all my sheets and carried them down the stairs... wat if i falled?!

Sooooo sorry Chris, logged off and didn't find the time to get back on 'till now..here's your answer..

Okay hunna, screw the credit river and the tube, they are just symbols..
The reason why you were floating in a tube along a river is because until recently you were dependent on something (or someone) else to get around life..however when the tube (guide) dissapears you are left alone in something dark, and ugly...and you gotta get through it alone..(This might be related to you growing up and becoming more independent, something completely normal, and you've got nothing to worry about)

quotation:

I came to the end of this one section, when out of the blue, Penguin and the Joker were conspiracing to kill the rest of the world. I dunno what happened after, but I woke up. Whats wrong with me?

There's nothing wrong.
Both the Joker and Penguin are known to be "villains" (although fictional) and the only reason why there were in your dream is because they are not necessarily plotting to kill the rest of the world, but to kill you. (Just in a code)
By "killing" you, I don't mean it literally..but emotionally.
The Joker and Penguin represent the people and things that are going to make your life tough and a living hell for the next couple of years and you just gotta tell them to fuck off.

Hopefully this helped a bit.

Falling and slight loss of balance are common between sleep walkers, but the thing is that you don't feel it...and it rarely happens, and it would have woken you up.

The whole sheet thing is normal, it just happens..
Like I said, how many times has it happened total?...Think about the pshyc. help.....it'll clear your mind a bit and you SHOULD stop with it.

well it always has to do with my sheets
i woke up on another chair and my sheets were on the floor...

or this..
i was sleeping in my bed, and when i went to sleep, i had a sheet over me first, and then a comforter, and i was just laying there, and everything was all smooth

when i woke up, if u looked at my sheets, it seemed like i never moved at all in my sleep cuz my sheets were smooth
BUT
my comforter was on first, and my sheet was on top of it... and i know im 100% sure i went to sleep the other way around... cuz i have a thing with my sheets, and they have to be the right way

I thought I pissed you off?....Damn, gotta try harder!

hahahah I'm just kidding.

It might not be a someone but a something....or also it is common that "someone" is really you....subconciously pissed at yourself? could be.
