broke and crossed tabs

Hi, people. I am writing tabs for this song right now. I am about 3/4's finished right now, and I started to wonder if people on this website would actually want this? How many people play guitar, anyway.

I just wanted to know, basically, if tabs were in demand here. I am pretty new and I just don't know.

Also, If anyone knows what chord he uses first in the chorus I would like to know because that is the one issue I have truly has so far.

Thanks.

i'm sure that "tremendous" would love to study your tablatures and perhaps present them somewhere on the site - if you're a good boy.

i make "pushing needles through my skin":
code:

---------------------
---------------------
---------------------
xx12-11-xx11---7--7--
xx9--9--xx7----7--7--
xx9--9--xx7----7--7--

and this for "and i'm rarely lost":
code:

--------------------------------|--------------------------------|
--------------------------------|--------------------------------|
------------6-------------------|7s6-7---------------------------|
4---4---x-x-4---x-7---x-----x-x-|0---0---x-x-7---x-7---x-7-------|
2---2---x-x-5---x-5---x-7---x-x-|0---0---x-x-5---x-5---x-5-------|
4---4---x-x-4---x-5---x-5---x-x-|0---0---x-x-5---x-7---x-7-------|

(all in the same tuning as egzit, sink, the day i understood and watch it die, i think, since it was written around the same time)
how's that compare with what you have?

cool. I guess that I will continue. I give it maximum a week before I will be done.

Tremendous. I am confused about your tabs. I am assuming that during the "pushing...." part that you just decided not to tune it down the half step? You do play that part the same as I do, but I play the half note lower.

Are these your own attempts at the song, you know, by ear? Or did a band member teach you? I'm just curious.

I am tabbing them on PTeditor, and I am not making them in exact time with the song, because that takes way too long. I hope that's not a problem.

Thanks.

my mistake - my guitar was in a lower tuning, but with the same intervals between strings. i tabbed it from ear. the way my guitar was tuned, my tab sounds right. it is tuned exactly one tone below the watch it die/egzit/sink/day i understood guitars. i am not certain that this was the tuning used in the recording. i will ask chris what the tuning is next time i see him.

i've listned to the rest of the song again now and i'm now certain it's in drop-d, down a half step. my aplogies. that would make the tab i've written up there sound right, and means you can play the chords in the verse properly

the way I have approaching the second part that you have tabbed out there, sounds nothing like what I have been doing. I will see if I can incorporate what you have put there into what I have been doing.

I could have told you that it was the same tuning. I am 100% certain.

Hey, tremendous. Do you want me to send you what I have got so far? I have everything except the chorus. Tell me what you think, you know?

I'm sorry for flooding this. I am not trying to. But I wish you had kept the instrumental version, that really would have aided me while I finish up the song. Is there any other way to hear it again?

Eb open sus4

Eb Bb Eb Ab Bb Eb

thats the tuning for egzit/sink/the day i understood

i dont have tabs for watch it die but i heard that Chris has made some up and sold. he sent me egzit tabs via email once. it was just a regular word doc rather than power tab. so if anyone happens to have any other tabs that arent posted here on the site then i'd very much appreciate them, powertab or not.

I dunno a whole lot of guitar theory and what not. but i believe drop-d down a half step isnt exactly one step below Eb open sus4. the high E and B strings are both Eb and Bb in both drop-d down half step and Eb open sus4

anyway, that would still leave you correct for that particular part in your tab, but might make some confusion if you tabbed any part on the higher strings

and i'm babling now and being stupid so i'm gonna go shove my head down the toilet....i think i droped a quarter down there anyway, i should probably go find it

Ok, last post for a while. I have finished the tabs. I sent them to tremendous. Besides the chorus I think I have done a pretty good job. The chorus I can say is probably only 50 percent accurate. But It still sounds ok.

I got your tab, and I'm looking through it. Do you want me to tidy it up a little (make the bars add up properly etc) or just leave it? We could make this a joint effort if you like. Otherwise I'm happy to upload it as it is. Your call.

I don't really care about it looking tidy. That's up to you, I guess. Either way it will still sound exactly the same.

I have put the new versions of Clear Me and Broke and Crossed, plus the instrumental Broke and Crossed back on the site as some people didn't have time to get them. Check my most recent post on that thread.

I think I'll give up hope soon enough that Chris will get time to check the Egzit, Watch it Die and Falling Behind tabs and I'll upload them to the site. I've tabbed Reckless and that'll be up soon too.
