Ahh magicians are loosers! They have to be lower than mimes! There has to be someway that this guy is getting food.. cuz its humanly possible to survive for 44 days w/o or water. I hear that people are banging drums beneath his box when he tries to go to sleep and are throwing stuff at him. Oh the ice thing.. there was a double under him in a chamber. The double would pop out infront of him and "THE MAGICIAN" would go into the chamber and sleep and eat. So, its not really that great.. but his one street magic show was amazingly good

it IS possible to survive on just water for 44 days, actually.

the likelihood of david blaine actually doing it (ie not cheating), however, is very low.

You can survive a surprisingly long amount of time without food, it just totally fucks you up, that's all.

I fail to see the point in this stupid stunt anyway, why not get swallowed by a shark and then have it spit you back out?Now THAT I would pay to go see.

The record is 85 days by a guy in the Ireland prisoner hunger strike years ago.

He died shortly afterwards though.

People forget that David Blaine is an illusionist. Whatever he does he does to impress, and not necessarily by doing exactly what he claims to have done/be doing.

It's really easy to do. I don't know how he gets up that high.. but I can do it for hours at about 5 inches. It just takes balance, practice and a mirror or two.

the way you do it is you make sure that the people watching are atleast like 4 feet away then you just rise up to your tiptoe on one foot (ooposite of where the people are) and keep your other foot straight, me and my sister already figured this out like 2 years ago

So then how could you clearly see under his feet and out the other side?

I'm not saying it's genuine, it's just not done like that.

He should stick to card tricks in my opinion. When he went into the Cowboy's lockeroom he did some freaky shit.

A lot of his street tricks are things you can buy, like the half bitten coin and such. The card tricks on the other hand do take a lot of skill to master and I credit the man for that.

hahaha it's funny how many magicians haters are in this thread, i think that is amazing that one guy let you stunt, ,if is true or not true, who cares, it's just entertainment (i hope i've made myself clear, i'm in english classes right now, so soon i'll stop writing like an indian hHaHAHahahha)

David Blaine is an awesome entertainer, and nothing more! No doubt he could keep me entertained for hours.

A buddy of mine was a street magician in Vancouver for a few years. It's fucking incredible to see some of the stuff that he can do. He had me convinced that this everyday quarter he gave me was 1 centimeter bigger in diameter than a regular one. Long story, but magicians have a way of making you think something happened when it didn't, and vice versa.
