Dont take this in a bad way.....
But I am SUPER happy that the guys are doing a 19+ show on november 14th at club 279...I love that place for concerts...and plus there is a bar!
But yeah...dont get all mad at me for saying that(all the underage fans!)
haha
Is anyone else planning on going?

Why not have a 16's and over gig...
and the under 19's are not allowed to drink ?
Thats what happens in the UK.... or is it not that simple ?

why can't people my age go to shows like the one at club 279? its obvious that we're under 19 so they wont sell us drinks right? but i
guess its better for the people who are over 19.

You see, its restricted to 19+ b/c they can't serve alcohol in the same place that minors are in. (I think) But I like Mark's idea, it
would give us elderly (16+) freedom from the kiddies.
one last show.

People have been petitioning the government of Ontario to let 16 year olds into shows where they serve alcohol. So far it hasn't happened.

It's unlikely that clubs will start letting underagers in for concerts any time soon. There are way too many legal issues.
I'm thinking about hitting up the 279 show myself That's one of my favourite places to see concerts, despite the ridiculously overpriced
drinks.
Speaking of which, anyone who is in TO this Friday should stop by 279 for the Walkers Line/Idle Sons/Pettit Project gig. It's going to be
amazing!

clubs have capacities and everytime they let a kid that is under 19 its one more 19+ (someone who will spend money on booz) will not get in. If you
were a club and depended on people buying drinks to survive, what would you do??
Just be happy that the livid makes an effort to do shows for all ages...

For me, the thing that makes me love 19+ shows, is that a lot of the shows Ive gone to( and im not talking about ANY underage people onhere) there are
a lot of "little kids" who completely FREAK out for bands..(like backstreet boy/nsync kinda freak out) and there is nothing more annoying
then that. Like I dont wanna seem rude, just it does happen. A lot.
But yeah, as someone mentioned above, the livid does make a great effort for those under 19 to see them play live as well!
