You might try the 905 board... although for the life of me I can't remember the address... They have a section on that forum for that very purpose.

Why not take a guitar player.. and turn him into a really shitty bass player? Yes, their two totally different intruments. But if you learn how to play one, you can sure play the other.

I play guitar and have been for a little over 2 years. I do play bass, but just on the side (plus I don't own one. haha). 1 1/4 hrs is a long way to travel for me. oh well...

It's a lot easier to go to bass from guitar than the other way around I would think...

I still maintain it's equally as hard to be a bassist as a guitarist, a good bassist that is.

Quite right, Jeff. But I would say you could learn the basics of playing bass a lot faster than "equivalent" basics for a guitar.... Well, it was for me anyway.

I think lots of people might just acquire the basics, ie playing root notes and then stopping there. That'll get you by, but it's not particularly interesting or musical.

Sorry man, I don't have anything you can hear...yet. I will soon enough though.

I listened to your songs from the link in your profile and they're pretty damn good!!! Keep it up. How long have you been playing??? And how often do you practice???

Well, how 'bout that, I was just saying to Rob it'd be nice if someone listened to my stuff. Thanks. I've been playing I guess about 6 and half to 7 years. When I was alot younger I played around 8 hours a day. From Mid evening to 6am...I didn't do too well in school during that period. Right now I play spuratically, can't really say how much or how long. In october when I was recording those songs I played about 8-10 hours a day just writing and recording. Most of the songs I write, I write the whole thing in a couple minutes. They just fly out of me, I guess.

Well, I won't bore you anymore. Thanks again, seriously. It means alot.

Well, you like steve vai. That's a A+. If you seriously want to jam sometime, play some covers, write some shit, we could probably hook something up.
