Cheating.
This seems to be the most popular of topics for the talk-show's lately. But I actually want to discuss this not just fight and argue about it.
Anyway, so I found myself watching sex and the city with my girl today (she sick and I rented her the seasons to watch) and there was an episode where
Carey (the main girl) tells her boyfriend that she has been cheating on him and he leaves her. And she's crying and whatnot, and I find myself
giving the screen the finger. I was fucking pissed off, this guy is great I would date him. He's what she has always wanted in the show. Then I
thougt to myself I have seen this before, many times. Nearly all my friends....no, all but one, have been cheated on by their girlfriends. And none of
my guy friends have cheated on them. And to top it off in every case except one the girl has wanted my friend back. It's still happening to 2 of
my friends. Great, good looking guys. "They were confused", "It made me realize I love you"...and so on. Why are women so
confused? I mean, they have a wildly popular HBO show dedicated to try and teach women about relationships.
Isn't this the world where men are scum and women are the victims? Or is it just one more case where the media has made us believe this? I
personally feel that it is neither one more than the other, but it shocks me because the way women are natured you would think that they are just as
the media portrays them. As the constant victim.
I'm certainly not saying that it is more acceptable for a man. I don't want it to sound like that. It's downright unacceptable and I
empathize for anyone who has to go through with it.
Also, to the women, do you think that men are just getting what's coming to them. Basically, do you pity a women more than a man? I ask that,
because it seems that alot of womens reactions on television shows to female cheating is a good amount of support.
Has anyone noticed this? Or just me.

perhaps we should just create a 60's-esque environment of promiscuity? that would solve all the problems, and would be quite fun, too.
and why were you watching Sex and the City, anyway? it's one of the worst shows that i've ever been made to watch, and it's got some
really really ugly women in it. what makes matters worse is that the ugliest insists on getting her breasts out (at LEAST once in every episode
i've seen), causing unrepairable mental trauma to unsuspecting viewers.
bitch.

Honestly, that's probably the way the world will be soon enough. Or maybe it'll be like that movie sylvester stallone movie where
everybody fucks through computers...because of disease and shit. Good Lord, that would suck.
I basically have to watch Sex and the City, it's one of my women's 2 obbsesions, the other being her 5 hours a day of the sims. It is an
awful show, I get angry and swear aloud when I hear this women go on and on. But it could be worse, I guess.

aww! so sweet you watch a show with ur gf how cute!
but i've never seen it and i never want to see it like seriously how retarted can the show be?
But see with the cheating thing it depends on the situation i dont automatically g on the womans side cause if she cheated on the guy then i feel
sorrie for the guy but if he cheats on her then i go on her side. But if they cheat on each other im just like fuck it! Cause then it becomes A maury
show! (not sayin those show arent good they are i love watching them but Montel is so much better its not those white chics against black chics they
are serious topics! like about wanting to find a parent who left you! those are so sweet!

Probably shouldn't have said that. It's not really an awful show, I just think it can be awful. But if a show can make me that angry or
whatever, it's probably pretty good.
Well, all I know is that most women LOVE that show...and most anybody in general if you give it a chance. It's really a good concept, I just
can't stand most of the girls personalities.
I'll never really comprehend why some couples cheat on eachother. Why create so much baggage for yourself. Wouldn't it be just easier to
leave the person. But there are alot of people out there, mostly guys, that just don't have a conscience.

I totally argree with you opinion X. It's almost the same as when you see movies where a guy is beating on a girl. It's quite
pregitduice(sp?). But I'm guessing that with males infliciting pain/sorrow on females , more people can relate to that than females infliciting
pain/sorrow on males.
one last show.

Chalk a lot of what you talked about up to maturity but here's the part where I get really deep. Take a deep breath.
Men and Women are fundamentally the same. Sure we go about fucking the other over in different ways but in the end someone gets screwed and both are
equally likely to screw the other.
Animal instinct drives us all. The problem is not Men or Women but rather, humans.

I've never seen the show either and honestly don't know anyone that watches it. Can't be that great if my tv-holic friend
doesn't watch it. No offense to the people that like it.
And RobH...you're right...guys do have cleaner bathrooms...girls are pigs!!

Funny how this turned into a Sex and the City thread...but it's all good. It's embarrasing to say but I've probably seen 75% of all
the eipsodes...some more than once. Don't hurt me, it's not my fault. She's addicted to it like heroin.
But anything that will occupy a girlfriend is all good...gives me more time for guitar and videogames.
And I am FAR more clean than my girlfriend, and she is pretty clean. I'm a little obsessive

I concur. If my room isn't clean at all times I cannot relax and I clean until it's good enough. I can't even sleep knowing the
closet door in my room is open a little bit. It drives me nuts.

Why is it alright for the girlfriend to kiss another woman but if the guy does it he's an asshole. Shouldn't they both be assholes.

awesome point, man. I agree wholeheartedly. My when my girlfriend was with her ex, she kissed girls all the time. he was hoping it would get her into
a 3way. I even have a couple pictures of her kissing other girls and it kills me. I've seen her in bars making out with a girl and have guys
chear and take pictures (before we were together). And it sickens me to think that guys have pictures of her making out with some other drunk chick.
Fuck. I've always told her kissing another girl was just as bad as kissing another guy and if you do either, Im gone.
Keep in mind this was almost 3 years ago.

Seems like you and your girl (I thinkher name is Andrea) have had their issues, but it's awesome to see you guys working through them,
that's what relationships SHOULD be about.
Girls are more prior to cheat on a guy, just because of the sense of insecurity they might feel sometimes. If there is one thing about girls is that
we never just focus on one thing, we look at the whole picture for everything, and focus on a greater deal than guys. (No offense)
My opinion of girls who cheat on guys? BITCHES. I'm sorry, it's just the way it is. As opposed as I am to ANY type of cheating, when
it's a female v.s male thing, it's even worse.
Again, no offense..but you would expect the GUY to cheat on the girl, because most of the time it is the male who has that sense of immaturity and is
not ready to "settle down" just yet. (like i said..this does not apply to everyone, just a select few)
I guess that if we were gonna discuss cheating in a "relationship" we would first have to have some type of neutral agreement on WHAT
EXACTLY A RELATIONSHIP IS, since that, in my opinion is one of the most common reasons on "why love goes wrong", both the guy and girl
involved in this have completely different opinions and views on the subject, expect totally different things, and end up screwing each other up.
So...this might need a WHOLE other thread for it but.
-What IS love?
-What is your definition of a "Relationship"?

Awesome post, Dez. Great insight. Yes, her name is Andrea, I just normally would rather say G/F or girl or whatever, because I think it sounds weird
if I say her name all the time.
We have been through a shitload, hell yes, but I've never been dumb enough to think that it's always going to be perfect. And that could
be where women have it wrong, because they expect things to never change, and when they do (and they will) they freak out and start questioning
themselves...and sometimes eventually stray. Not all women are like this, I know. But that still is the nature of a women, to live in a fantasy land.
What is love? I think love is caring so much for someone that even when your going through the hardest of things and you can be so angry at someone,
and yet you still care for them. And always will. And of course the feeling has to mutual or it just will never click. Love is not the fairytale that
gets pushed on you. The happily ever after crap. Sure that's nice and pretty, but it can't happen. If you love someone you both have to be
willing to be able to get through the bad to get to the good, because there will always be good after the bad.
A relationship? Hmmm...I guess it's just 2 people learning and sharing with one another, building the trust and bond that is required to be able
to know if you are truly best compatible with that person. And trust is the most important thing in a relationship, if there is no trust, there really
is no hope.

Sarah Jessica Parker should be called dumbo, seriously. Her nose is so god damn big its disgusting. and about your cheating observation...if that
ever happened to me i'd never take the girl back. if any guy did, i would have no respect for them, what a shitty girlfriend. My first
girlfriend (when i was 15) cheated on me with a 30 year old guy (she was only 15 too). So me and my friends decided the proper revenge would be to
throw piss through her window. the screams of "NOT ON THE NEW SOFA!!" cleared my mind and put a smile on my face when thinking about her
having sex with some 30 year old petifile. i bet they dont teach revenge like that on sex in the city.

I think cheating is pointless...like someone said above (I forget who know) why don't you just break up with the person.
Try finding out that your bf of 3 years and your best friend of 22 years are getting it on behind your back.
If you have something to say, raise your hand...and put it over your mouth.
