Well, it still isn't actually generating music though. You have to tell it what to play. What it comes down to is that you are just using different instruments really. As far as I know, for now, live instruments still destroy computer simulated instruments, but the gap is closing pretty fast. Remember too that even sequencing and arranging though is part of making music. I doubt that the average person here could "generate" a number one tune, even with all those fancy gadgets and Cubase.

Bottom line is- They do this for us fans. They make themselves sound better to keep/increase their fan base. Which in the end, ends up giving them more profit. So wait, bottom line is- this gives them more money.

one last show.

Gives someone more money, maybe... I'm not sure how much the band will see of that...

Yes but it is quite simple how to learn how to use cubase like seriously anyone can do it but live instruments ALWAYS sound soo much better! the Cubase instruments suck some dont even sound like a live one would!

i don't think you really know what you're talking about. it isn't cubase that makes the music. you need to know what you're doing to sequence music. also, the sounds aren't generated by cubase - the final sound you hear will depend on what soundcard you have, and what keyboard and modules you used.

I would say that anyone can use Cubase in the same way that everyone can play drums. If you sit some "shmoe" in front of a set of drums they can spank those drums all they want and it'll still suck unless they know what they're doing, which basically means lots and lots of practice. I think most people probably don't realize how much skill goes into even an apparently simple "pop" record. I would bet that the guys playing on those records and the people who write those songs would destroy the average band writing their own stuff in terms of musicianship.
