check out "princess mononoke" then.
Amid the chaos of that day, when all I could hear was the thunder of gunshots, and all I could smell was the violence in the air, I look back and am
amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true, that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record:
you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool. And sometimes Clarence asks me what I would have done if he had died, if that bullet
had been two inches more to the left. To this, I always smile, as if I'm not going to satisfy him with a response. But I always do. I tell him
of how I would want to die, but that the anguish and the want of death would fade like the stars at dawn, and that things would be much as they are
now. Perhaps. Except maybe I wouldn't have named our son Elvis.

Chris (PIS) you honestly don't think everything should agree with everything everyone else says do you (like say not buying from ESSO)? ha ha ha
like the tie in the subject. Life would be pretty boring if that happened.

I wasn't really around for hoobastank...all Mr. D is doing is making people think about things that they believe in whether you think the same
as him or not...it has made for some interesting discussions.

i quite like mr d :<
anyways, i know that great advances have been made on hydrogen and electrically-powered engines in the past few years. the oil won't last
forever, and perhaps that is a Good Thing, for all of us.

Hydrogen powered engines are a crock. Creating hydrogen wastes hideous amounts of energy and causes as much (if not more) pollution than burning
fossil fuels. Don't get your hopes up. What we really need is for government to start putting money into the development of feasible
alternatives.

"man, this gas stations fuel is the worst kind. next time i fill up my SUV i'm going somewhere else"
ladies and gentlemen, in order to prove a point, you absolutely can NOT sit on the fence. if you are concerned about what gas station is worst for the
environment, go a level above the fuel pump. if you didn't drive everywhere, would there really be a need for gas stations?
next time you're doing 140km/h in mom's suburban while throwing big mac containers out the passenger window, stop. think. think some more.
and decide if it's the faceless corporations and fat cat politicians who truly are the bad guys.
to this day, the term "consumer" makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I think some people are trying. I heard yesterday that starting Jan 1 you will be fined if you don't yield to public transportation (buses)
when they're pulling in and out of stops to let people off.

it is indeed the extraction of hydrogen that is the problem. convention states that electrolysis is the easiest method - however this (unfortunately)
requires a lot of electricity, which must first be produced. your argument regarding pollution is only relevant if the electricity is produced through
the consumption of fossil fuels - if renewable sources were used then obviously this wouldn't be a problem. however, if you have so much
electricity produced from renewable sources, why not power vehicles with that?
in theory, hydrogen is the ideal fuel. as we all (should) know, combustion of hydrogen produces only one product - water. if we could work out a way
of effeciently extracting hydrogen from water, we have a 100% clean, utterly everlasting, fuel.
feasable alternatives would be what? Get R&D working on the Tube Technology.

Agreed, but sadly renewable resources will go nowehere as long as a select few countries remain gung-ho on the idea of fossil fuels. Wind and solar
power are in fact the ideal energy sources, unfortunately until someone yields the money to develop them and make them available to middle-class users
they won't do us much good.

I love all the people who say that you can't be an environmentalist if you drive a car etc and if you DO drive a car or whatever you're a
hypocrite. This argument is completely faceious.
Look at the world we live in. We're all dependent upon fossil fuels, even the environmentalists. It's about the choices you make. We
all know that all gas companies pollute. By posting this I'm trying to give people information so they can make a choice, or perhaps spark them
to research the issue on their own.
