armour...youve got your facts on dave grohl a little off. they are as follows:
foo fighters: records all albums himself, plays guitar and sings lead vocals live.
qotsa: played drums for the recording of "songs for the deaf" and toured with them im europe (when i met him...my claim to fame)
tenacious d: recorded the drums...im not sure if he toured with them
nirvana: drums, not guitar.

my freind told me that he played guitar for Qotsa... dammit. i guess he's not as knowlegable as i though he was. Grohl did not however record the color and the shape (foo fighters) all by himself. he played guitar, sang and did the drums on most of the tracks, but he also had a bassist, and annother guitarist, and annother drummer. i cannot vouch for any other albums by them. and i meant to say that he played drums for nirvana, but i guess i f***ed up on that one.

i also did not know that he played with tenacious D

not as knowledgable?! he plays every instrument and is part of several bands...he also has two solo albums out (excludinig the foo fighters albums...which are pretty much solo albums as well for him). dave grohl is a very talented musician. and i know for a fact that he was the only one who recorded color and the shape. read the liner notes in the cd.
