Make Your Own Band.

Well Well well...... I am at this process again. It is that time. Nope wait, thats another time.

Create the ultimate band, in your mind. Rock on. And no, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE will NOT play along with ANYONE from Metallica. Thank you.

I think the perfect band would be like me singing with Thelivid playing...
And, I'd only sing cuz I cannot play any instruments...and i've taken vocal coaching for years.

but since that's not gonna happen...
i'll get back to you hahaha
im gonna go "brainstorm"

Or... (Stupid 4 minute rule)

Drums: Tony Royster Jr.
Guitarist: Justin King
Vocals: Aaron Lewis
no base
Drums:prob. Adam- his style is pretty smoothness.

I'm not gonna erase my retardness. O well. 2 drums and no bassit would be interesting.

Damnit! I knew it was some sort of insect name. I was like bee, nope. Roach, nope. Fly, nope. Flea... god damnit what type of name is that.

Tony Royster is a drum soloist. Mega talented. If you look back in the threads, theres a link to a great solo that he does.

Justin King an uuber talented musician that plays everything. There's a thread w/ a link to his site too.

There both on page deux.

His real name is Michael, I think. Flea is simply the best bassist out there. At least in the rock music genre. Even most of the shit he just pulls out of his ass is probably better than 90% of the bassist's out there.

I don't think I can compile a list right now, because if I do it, I want the people to actually fit together.

Btw, jump on me if you want, but I think that Kirk Hammett (as much as I love old metallica) is probably the most overrated guitarist out there.

I'd definately agree. I'd have to say that it's alot easier making up a solo, that learning how to play a solo. So what he does is blatantly easy. However he's great at it.

Jeff beck is also a great guitarist.

Here's a list where everyone should fit

Vocals: Aaron Lewis- Staind
Acoustic Guitar: Eric Clapton
Electric: slower RHCP stuff- like Scartissue
Drums: ? Someone who plays slow soft "riffs" (Is that what they're called?)

I'll give it a go.

Rock band:
Vocals: Ed Kowalzyck
Guitar: the lead guy from Westpoint, I think Jeff (I'm really hooked on the guitar in Westpoint
Bass: Flea (Micheal Balzary is his real name, if anyone cares)
Drums: Brain

Band that if it was formed there would be too much talent for it to be good:
Vocals: still Ed Kowalzyck
Acoustic: Tommy Emmanuelle
Electric: Eric Johnson
Bass: Victor Wooten
Drums: I don't really know any drummers, so I'll go with that Troyster guy.

whoever said hunter from Afi - Yay.
listen to Yurf Rendenmein. the bass solo rocks.

hey, how about a little santana too. everyone loves santana.

backup guitar... Stone Gossard (Perl Jam)

and on drums how about Dave Grohl (Foo Fighter's drummer, singer and backup guitarist, Nirvana's guitarist, and Queens of the Stone Age's guitarist. now there is one incredably talented man)

and finally on vocals, hmmm, Chris Cornell (Soundgarden and Audioslave)

so what i got is:
Vocals: Chris Cornell
Lead Guitar: Santana
Backup Guitar: Stone Gossard
Bass: Huter
Drums: Dave Grohl

Some things take more than a lifetime.

hunter from afi rocks! yurf rendenmine is an awesome song. i completley forgot about dave grohl though (shame on me). evidently he jsut came out (or in the last year) with his own deth metal album featuring ppl like max cavalara and others who i find not to be so great. but dave grohl also has another solo album from way back when called "late night! pocketwatch" or some shit. ive got that album...its pretty tight, nothing at all predictable, and thats what i like. but yeah, hunter, i was wondering if anyone would notice that. i think hes an awesome bassist and can do a lot. im also glad to see some other staind fans out there! go staind!

Don't forget about Tenacious D. I don't know if he played guitar in Queens, but I know he did some drumming for them.

armour...youve got your facts on dave grohl a little off. they are as follows:
foo fighters: records all albums himself, plays guitar and sings lead vocals live.
qotsa: played drums for the recording of "songs for the deaf" and toured with them im europe (when i met him...my claim to fame)
tenacious d: recorded the drums...im not sure if he toured with them
nirvana: drums, not guitar.
