When I skim over some writing and see the words (I only call them words for lack of a better term) "whoot", "lol", etc., I
immediately stop reading and skip to something else. It's basically an alert that the passage in question isn't worth reading. But
that's just me.

I use "btw and imo"...and that's about it. I think those ones are ok. I once used "lol" and it felt really weird. I
think it was in a PM I wrote to Dez. It was the first and last time I used those three letters in a sentence.
I agree, though. If I see full sentences written like that, I naturally ignore them. It's all gibberish, anyway.

When I was working the other day, I found a note on the grass. You know, one of those girly, highlighted, nicely-folded notes? And I, opened it to see
what it was, and I tried to read it, and it was all in slang. I had no fucking clue. Mostly internet slang. People are actually writing like this
