I'm a big fan of The Livid? You?
Oh yes, a band called In Flames "Artifcats of The Black Rain" is quite sick. Thanks to that "Reivax" fellow for introducing me
to him!
OH! CKY(Bam Margera's band) has a sick song called 'Quite Bitter Beings'.. The intro riff is insane. I (L) that song.

If you like Something Corporate or any kind of piano rock you should check out a band called The Midway State.
We're organizing a show with them Sept. 2nd. Should be good times.
I hosted a show with them a while back. Kickass band. Really a lot better live than their recordings would suggest.
Smile Empty Soul, wow, I'm surprised you guys have heard of them considering their lack of entrance of any kind into Canada. Still, they are
from Western New York so it's close enough I guess. After the livid, they are definitely my number 2 fav. band. I don't think
there's a song on their self-titled disc I don't like. Be sure to check out "This is War" and "The Other Side".
Damned good tracks.
Another good band that I would check out this Saturday if it weren't for the Livid show is CHEVELLE. When I first saw these guys live, nobody in
the crowd (at the Taproot, Chevelle, Disturbed show) knew any of their songs except for "The Red". Then there's my g/f and I belting
each and every one of them out. LOL They are SO amazing live, and if you buy their new CD at the HMV @ 333 Yonge or the one there on Queen
(can't remember the address) you get a free ticket to their show this Saturday. Sick. These guys rock.
Other bands I will recommend:
Elvyn
Autumneve
Dead Celebrity
and I'm suprised no one has mentioned yet:
ILL SCARLETT!

Chevelle's new disc "This Type Of Thinking Could Do Us In" is already out!
(Edit: It was released in limited quantities to some stores early. It's got such a "Tool" sound to it on some tracks. Awesome)
Hehehe I heard of Ill Scarlett thru these boards, was just surprised they'd not yet been mentioned in this thread :p

The new Chevelle disc is stellar! "The Clincher" is such a great track! Here's some other bands you should definatly check out
guys!
Emery -- One of the most unique bands I've come across ever!
Coheed and Cambria -- Post Punk/emo meets Rush!
Crossfade -- You've all probably heard "Cold" but check out the album it is great
Earshot -- Their new album is out it's called "two". Tracks like Rotten Inside and Control are very cool
Authority Zero -- A really cool ska band great party music
Senses Fail -- I got my hands on their disc early and it is freaking awesome!
Nonpoint -- Their new disc "Recoil" is out and is so good, they do a cover of "in the air tonight" by phil collins.
It's brilliant
36 Crazyfists -- A little heavier but these guys kill both on disc and live. New album is called a snow capped romance
Anyways sorry about that just thought I would throw a "couple" bands your way
take it easy!

Anyone ever heard of First Time Fallen, their a pretty sick band. I would normaly say to check them out, but unfortuantly they dont seem to have pu
much on the net...then again I can never find what I'm looking for...anyway, I had purchased their demo a while back, I beleive it was a livid
concert, pretty good. They now have an album called the spectacular view from above...I'm trying to get my hands on it at the moment...no secess
up to date. I'll eventually go buy it at one of their shows, but until then I'll be content with the demo.

First Time Fallen is one of the best bands to come out in a long time. I'm a huge fan! The new disc is mind-blowing. If you check out
http://www.purevolume.com/firsttimefallen you can download 3 of their newer tracks, however I would still recommend buying the full album. You
won't be sorry!

For all you ska fans... Apparently 'Big D and the Kids Tables' are a rather good ska band... With their trumpets and such, I
wouldn't necessairly classify this as 'music of my acceptance'. But what ever floats your boat.
