The Mars Volta show was last night. it was seriously amazing. one of the best shows i've seen. they never said a word to the audience, they just
came on, and started playing, and they never stopped for the whole 2 1/2 hours. litterally, it was almost like one continuous song. there were 9
people onstage (huge band), Cedric (the singer), Omar (the guitarist), Jon (drummer), Juan (bass player), Ikey (keyboard), a percussionist, a second
percussionist who also played sax and a mean flute, this guy who just pressed the pedal effects for the omars guitar, and cedric's vocals, and
other sounds and noises, and John Frusciante (RHCP) joined them on guitar during L'via, wich was awesome.
the set list was:
Cygnus
Take the Veil
Concertina
Drunkship
L'Via
Roulette Dares
the Widow
Cassandra Gemini
they jammed and improved whole bunch both in the middle of songs, and on totally new stuff that was killer. the flute solos were almost better than
the guitar solos. and cedric's voice was spot-on. on a few songs he sounded better than the album, like the widow and roulette dares.
so yeah, if you ever get a chance to see them live, do it.
i was like 5 feet infront of the person who took those.

ne who now im on the border line of leaving or not, it all depends on how much of a jackass the person im suppoed to be leaving with is going to be.
Cause theres noway that i'll live with him if hes going to be a jack ass and talk about me behind my back.
this moring was the best in my books because at about 10 min to 5 I won tickets to see the CASBY's this year, Im so excited cause there are
going to be so many amazing bands playing.

ah dez, im sorry. braces suck so much. in the end though, you'll be happy you did it. and just some unencouraging advice (sorry), dont listen to
how many months your orothdontist says you'll have them. i had to wear my braces for over a year more than he said. that being said, i hope it
is just 20 for you.

The CASBYs had a much better lineup last year. I don't remember what I did to the roll of pictures from that night. eek.
Thanks, Ian.
Well, at least I've figured out my costume for THIS halloween.
Since I'm a braceface, I might as well start looking like one.
For halloween, I'm drawing freckles on my face, doing two pigtails on my hair, wear bottle glasses AND dress like a dweeb.
I'll also go up to people and say in the nerdiest voice possible : "you are very beautiful, may i touch your face?"
If I have these on for more than 20 months, I'll walk into the orthodontics office with a boombox blaring "take me out" by franz
ferdinand and TAKE THAT DAMN DOCTOR OUT.
Speaking of "take me out"....I'm going to see Franz Ferdinand on Tuesday.
During "Take me Out"...I'll start a mosh.
and take people out by shoving them.
hardcore.
you won't let me down...

Haha Dez, that's so awesome. I think I'm going to be Garth from Wayne's World for halloween this year. Should be fun.
The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she
wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect
woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie.

Man. I’ve been wanting to dress up as Wayne for the looooongest time.
My dad even has the Wayne’s World cap!
I’ve spent so much money on keeping my hair red that somehow dying my hair back to black/brown wouldn’t happen too easily..but yeah, if you need a
Wayne, I’ll wear a wig.
My dad is gonna be Jon Belushi from the Blues Brothers. With the shades, the suit, and the hat, he looks identical. I’ll definitely post a picture of
that.
BUT yes, I think I’ll be a dweeb.

yeah, i dont do halloween anymore either. for some reason i never had all that much fun with it. instead i'm inviting friends over to see the
worst horror movies ever... like "killer klowns from outer space" - that was one of the ones we watched last year. quality shit-film.
