thats a good question. I don't think there is an official street team, just people who like The Livid and are sharing their music, which gets
others to check them out.

What he said.
'Street Teams' are a waste of time.
They don't work, you give out flyers then people chuck em on the floor or in the next bin they come across. Gets tiresome after a while.
Everyone on the boards is just spreading the word and getting their friends to listen, which I think is a much better system.

street teams are actually usually based more in the real world, well with pep u don't actually know. u might be disributing flyers, calling up
local radio stations, writing articles to be published in a uni newspaper, or perhaps even selling tickets. what we have here is more of an e-team
(internet based street team), but perhaps not even that: it's just a community, which recommends more to join...

Hyde, street teams DO work or else bands wouldn't have them. Think about how much money bigger bands pour into their street teams. They must
feel the investment is worth it.
Word on the street is that Chris says he's gonna start up a minor street team when this board reaches 500 members.

right.... how about flyers.... shirts... buttons... stickers...
flyers... that was supposed to happen... instead i've been handing out random sheets of paper, with information such as the livid's mp3
site and the next show in streetsville.
shirts.... Low or The Livid
buttons... lol to put on annoying school uniforms
stickers.... for guitar cases

my version of my street team for the Livid.
Pick up my phone/msg people ect and tell them about up coming shows.
Give them the link to the website/msg board and mp3.com site.
Hope they enjoy The Livid as much as me.

I agree with Hyde about flyers being a waste of time. However, burnt CDs aren't a waste of time. Our street team package, when started that
is, will simply consist of a burnt CD with 5 tracks on it along with a sticker with the band's name and web-site on it. We'll probably
start out by doing it locally and eventually target major cities across all of North America. Funding is the only issue, but I'm going to start
putting all CD profits into a separate account for the street team once we're done recording.

that would be wicked then...I remember when I went to see not by choice one time, this other band was preforming after them, not a huge band or
anything, infact i never heard of them and they were handing out stickers and cds and flyers before they preformed....It is a good way to get the band
out there...

I just like receiving and distributing free shit! You put stickers on lamposts and in shops, stick them on your jeans and stuff, people see them and
ask about them. It worked for another band anyway!

sounds like fun... aren't stickers relatively cheap to produce in masses?

Hmmm maybe get someone to sponsor you guys... and then stab them in the back!!! Like every person u get on the forums, they donate$5.00 to the street
team... Then we can all have 2/3/4 multiple accounts... Disgusting idea.. but quite evil. I'd help with the street team if there is one...
one last show.

You know...maybe we don't need to wait for funding..
I'm sure that everyone on these boards would be willing to make a small donation even if it's of $1 dollar...
I think there's a program on the net called PayPal that everyone can send money too and it gets to Chris or whoever wants to be the money
