personally i like the acoustic version of Release better, i think once recorded for an album it should keep that acoustic sound, thats just my personal opinion that means nothing

Ok, my opinions...

I Could Fall: I love this song, sounds really sweet. I really like the intro riff and the lyrics, and the occasional bass fills are cool too.

Release: I'm less happy about, I don't particularly care for the singing in the verses and the really cool guitar melody that's so prominent in the acoustic version is barely there in the new one (i.e can't really hear it). However on the plus side, the chorus sounds beautiful and the bass line during the verses sounds really good, and Adam's drumming during the chorus is really cool too.

All in all I'm pretty happy to have some new Livid songs to listen to, even if I prefer Release acoustic over electric.

Oh, and I almost forgot I absolutely adore the end to Release, that "Let it go" "Release" bit is so damn good, one of the best ends to a song I've ever heard.

I have to agree that the acoustic version of release is better, although the chorus in this version is awesome. But come on guys, it is still an amazing livid song. this new version is more "the Livid" than the acoustic anyway.

Both of these songs are amazing. I can't get enough of this band, so bleeding phenomenal. If they don't get signed soon, there's gonna be all hell to pay.

You guys are just used to the acoustic version of release

The full band version is awesome, you just have to get used to it !

I admit the effect on justin's voice in the verse is v.strange

but the chorus is soo powerful, justin really excels himself

I hope these tunes will bring The Livid to higher places, I'm sure they will.

i love "i could fall" but something on "release" doesn't sit well with me, the way he sings right before the chorus..its like if my father were to rub my back gently when i was upset about something...its just not a good thing

Keep on listening to "release" !

You'll get used to justins voice.

I think its actaully quite a good contrast between verse and chorus.. it makes the chorus sound really special ... if ya know what i mean

hmm

I felt the same way about the verses the first time I heard it, but like Mark says it will totally grow on you. Give it a few days and you'll think the verses fit completely.

both of these songs are great. i don't know what some of you people are talking about. but yeah i agree with mark, you just gotta get used to the difference between release acoustic and and release electric.

im listening to it for the first time right now...and maybe it's because I was expecting it to not be so good due to the not so good response, but I think it sounds great.

Only kinda complaint is that the wispering verse isn't as effective as maybe intended.

i never ment to say that it wasnt good, because it is. i just prefer the acoustic version of it better. the song, to me, just sounds better acousticly. there is a lot more of the song that stands out better acousticly than with all the distortion. such as picking out the chords (as done in the acoustic) rather than just strumming them.

I feel kinda the same way as others. I don't like the new version as much as the acoustic. But i have noticed that basically everything the livid does I hate at first, but then eventually can't get enough of. The first song i heard was falling behind, and I downloaded some of their other stuff and hated it. Course now, I have both their cd's in my car playing all the time. Same thing with sink and release, I thought they betrayed the band's edge, but now I listen to the new stuff more than the old. Just kinda wierd i guess.

Kinda weird? dude I love all the songs by the livid...except forseen...oh well...anyway, all their songs are awsome, and i loved them all from the first time i heard them...except for the full band release...oh well... but i now think the new Release is better than the old one. I cant get over how cool the verses sound, and how powerful the chorus is.
im done.

I love the new direction the music is taking Livid! although the vid. is a bit of a let down, but good for it's budget.
