Guilty Pleasures

Hey, this is going to be my attempt at a thread. I don't do these very often, but I too need to help continue the posts.

Ok, I stole this idea straight from a magazine, but that's OK. I want people to list their 3 guiltiest pleasures in the certain categories of Music, movies and Books or magazines. So basically, admit to loving a song that you would not normally admit to.

For me:

MUSIC: One of my favourite bands is Lifehouse. I love every single song they have ever written. They represent everything happy in my life, even though they are actually kinda depressing. And I do love that new outkast song for some reason.

MOVIES: I have this unusual obsession with Fred Savage. It's really all coincidental but every single movie he has ever done is in my top 20 movies of all time. My favourite movie ever is The Wizard and number two is Little monsters. Awful, awful movies, I know. But I love 'em. Other Fred notables are Princess bride and the boy who could fly.

BOOKS/MAGAZINES: I own every single copy of Electronic Gaming Monthly for the last 2 years or so. Or Electronic Geeking Monthly as it gets refered to by my woman and her sister. I buy every issue the day it is released and read every single page within about 2 or 3 days. I know a disgusting amount of information on video games. And books, I guess the most embarrasing thing about books is that I don't really read them, and I always wish I had. I can never focus on the page.

Movie: Any Johnny Depp movies/ Orlando Bloom omg they are both so hot cept for Bloom in lotr that is just a turn off to see a guy with that length of hair !!

Books/Mags: hmm... books anything to do with the titanic i onno i just like reading about the titanic oh and mystery novels..... for Mags its ym, J-14, seventeen, all those chic types!

Music: Heeeeeeey yaaaaaa....heeeey yaaaaaaa...(is that what you're talking about Chris?!..I'm kinda obsessed with that song right now..)

No, seriously though...my GUILTIEST pleasure, is Mr.Justin Timberlake..I've been a fan of this guy for the past 5 years or so..and I love him to death...and I'm not afraid to admit it......

Movie: Bring it On---EXTREMELY cheesy movie, and not many people know I secretly like it..not because of the cheerleaders, but really because of all the dancing..I have a passion for dancing...

Books: "Are you there God? It's me,Margaret" okay..that book brought tears to my eyes..it's just so touching, and yeah..again not a lot of people know I enjoy reading books by Judy Blume...but there ya go..now you all know..

The "let's make fun of dez" session may start.....nooooowww..

Music - I have been known to listen to and very much enjoy the backstreet boys and even n'sync
Movies - Josie and the Pussycats. Such an awesome movie! If you look at it a bit deeper I thought it was a very good satire of the music industry and teen culture in general...
Books - No guilty pleasures here. I only read the best!

lord of the rings, stand by me, finding nemo? These are all amazing movies enjoyed by all. I don't really understand why you would be embarrased by them. I mean my favourite movie is about nintendo That's interesting about the bsb and Nsync thing, but I guess I understand because I would always not really mind hearing them myself when I was younger. Some of those goes could sing pretty well.

Music: I've recently been obsessed with Journey's Open Arms...probably since I heard Bob the Bachlor sing it...Oops did I just admit that I watch that dumb show ha ha ha

Movies: Well my favourite movie (although I get teased about it) Boyz in tha Hood. I cry everytime Ricky dies.

Books: I don't really read anything too bad....although I do agree that I like doing the crosswords in People...makes me feel smart!!

To explain Stand By Me, it was a text we did at school in like yr 8, although I'd watched it prior to that, which automatically made it a bad movie to 95% of the schools population (gotta love the mentality of teenagers).

Edit: I realise a lot of people here are in their teens so I'm sorry if you took offense to that, but it's true. I my experiences if something is studied at school, students won't like it.

I understand where your coming from, Sin. That is the way I thought, too. I had to watch death of a salesman and I hated every second. I'm sure if I weren't "studying" it, I would liked it a little. But Stand by me is a kick ass movie, in my opinion.

Boyz n the hood...again a top 20 of mine. I have rented that movie so many times. I love it.

Oh for a movie: the Lion King DVD is definately one of the best ever. The play was surprisingly amazing. Definately a "must see".
Music: Probably anything by Snoop. I don't buy his stuff, but I listen to it when ever its on. He's quite the character.
