well you have to make sure that you wont get sucked into a cult or something, im christian and i go to this church but it doesnt feel like church because there's this rock band and they show clips of movie (since its an old cineplex odeon) and it's really not your typical church.

Muslim here... umm, I don't drink, don't eat pork, only eat halal meat, try to pray everyday... that's about it.

Funny thing happened at the last Music as a Weapon Tour. When David Draiman was talking about Disturbed's new logo, I was the only one cheering when he said the crescent moon represents Islam.

I've always felt that the whole idea of 'Gods' is to explain people's actions. In turn, the group of people who live by these actions make it a 'religion.'

If there really was some higher power, we'd know about it.

Manson said it best:

'God is in your T.V'

i'm sticking to kevin smiths line...

its better to have ideas than beliefs, cause ideas are easier to change.

Its stupid to believe you can try to apply old church values from hundreds of years ago onto modern life as part of life has always been evolution and change....

and isn't that a higher power? humans like to think that they can control everything, in fact, they can't.

Ok, so we can't control science.

But i'm referring to 'higher powers' in the same was people see Gods - supreme beings that can make decisions.

Science can't. It's just the way shit happens.

what about the debates over fate and free will? not all religions believe that these "higher powers" have absolute influence or control.

Ok let me break this down.

I believe in happy coincidence. There is nothing controlling us, we all make our own decisions.

Unless there's a religion that worships that (and i'm quite aware you are most likely going to go off and find one to make me look like a penis) then religions and their corresponding gods are wank.
