An amazing night to be Livid
I just got back from the 279 show and had a few things to say about it.
Set List:
Egzit
The Day I understood
Watch It Die
Sink
I Could Fall
At the Seams
Shaded
Reckless
There was a bit of a rough start, with guitar tech problems in the first song, but besides that I can honestly say it was the best show I have seen
them play. The sound at the 279 is phenomenal to start with, and The Livid were extremely tight. The vocals were perfect from what I could hear, and I
love the new backups that Chris is doing. They played the new song, "At The Seams" I think is what it said on the set list, which from
only having heard the one time, I am ready to say it is very much of the excellent quality we have come to hear and even expect from the Livid. I just
wanted to let the band know that I am very impressed by how they sounded, and the energy they put into the show. Awesome set guys.

Just as Rob said, the band put on a stunning performance tonight. This was only my second time seeing the guys but I was astounded by how well they
perform together. Chris' guitar playing is astounding to watch! Thanks to the band for a kick-ass performance. It made my 3 hour round-trip to
Toronto more than worthwhile!
I took a crapload of pictures but there must have been something funky going on with the lighting because a lot of them are really distorted and weird
looking. They're all posted here anyway: http://public.fotki.com/allisonolp/the_livid/
Rob, thanks for introducing yourself to me! It was nice to put a face to your name. Hopefully I'll see you at the Idle Sons show in a couple
weeks!

I didn't find the sound quality to be so hot (aside from the obvious problems at the very beginning) feedback from the mics seemed to vary back
and forth... seemed kind of iffy to me.
But other than that, it was a great show. Egzit always works so well as an opener because of the intro to it.
Noticed Chris was wearing a Channel One shirt! *thumbs up*
Can't wait for the next one.

The mics have been super squealy at Club 279 for the past little while now. I wish they'd fix it!

It's the aura of The Livid. They are too hot to have their picture taken.

too bad I didn't get to meet anybody. Probably because most of the board wasn't there. I was the one standing directly in front of Chris
with the black hat and sweat shirt. I was probably obstructing some view, but fuck it, I didn't care.
I had the time of my life. Seriously it was so amazing I almost cried at a couple moments. It was very sureal. And I will definitely agree with Rob
that the sound was amazing, it would be crazy not to say so. Every concert EVER has a little feedback here and there...I only recall one small
instance. It sucks that egzit didn't have guitar for the first half, but they continued and it sounded great. I wish they played broke and
crossed, I asked Chris and he said they pulled out the heavy ones for the night. I just can't believe how fantastic shaded sounded when they
sang the chorus at the end when the guitar doesn't play and all three of them are singing. Sooo powerful, and it sounded way better than the
recording.
Very inspiring concert. It really just baffles me that these guys aren't more famous. But who hasn't said that before. It makes me want to
be a better musician.

Aww Chris.. Your post made me cry. Do I see new guitars?? I haven't been to a show in a while, so they might be fairly old. But from what I can
make out in the pic's, they look damn new.
one last show.

The guitars? I'm not sure. I'm thinking the main axe he used was an older on. The red one looked custom made. It looked like a
Js100's neck because of the inlay at the 21st fret but the body was different because it has 3 pickups, a different shape, and the jack was on
the front of the body, not the bottom. The third guitar I didn't really look at...and I don't really remember him using. All I can say is
it had an RG body.

Hey Reivax, I guess I saw you then. I was also right at the front, between Justin and Christian. I was holdingt my coat and rocking out.
And from where I was standing I really didn't notice a lot of the mic trouble which you guys have mentioned.

Oh, yes. You were singing your heart out, if I remember correctly. Your kinda a smaller guy, right? I definitely noticed you because you and I seemed
to be enjoying ourselves the most. But then again I never once looked behind me.

It's topics like these that make me pray for a live video or dvd to be released. Hell, I don't care if the quality is on a par with the
original Godzilla, it'd be nice to see these guys in action.
Edit: Ok, clarification just in case I get my head bitten off... I don't mean I want the band to up and make one right now. I don't mean
I'll like the band any less if they don't, just stating what I'd like to see. Sorry for this edit, but in the past I've been
chastised for saying things like that (not on this board) so I'm a bit wary.

Sorry, Alison. I know everyone was enjoying themselves. But for some reason the only other person that I noticed through the set was Rob. And the
pinkish haired girl that was beside me by that pole.

The sound at the show could have been better. I think the sound tech was baked. But then again I'm a bit of critic being a sound tech on the
side. I felt we played well. The feedback happened when Justin lowered his mic below his waist. The monitors screech when you point the mics at them.
It happens. Over all a good time had all! By the way we are still recording and plan to release a FULL LENGTH ALBUM in the new year. Sooner rather
than later. We'll keep you posted. You guys are the best fans a band could have by the way. I can't believe there are already numerous
pic's up on the site from the show! You guys rock!

Probably... I mean, I did hear the occasional squeak when Justin put the mic down...
I like those pictures by the way Allison. I like the "motion effects" even if they aren't supposed to be like that. They seem
more... intense? I don't know. Am not a photographer.

Christian, I think the sound guy at 279 is always baked! In fact, the members of Walkers Line made the same comment about him the first time
they played there because of his exhuberant use of delay on the lead vocals. He has issues. But you guys still kicked ass!

I'm sure it will happen one day, Sin.
Now that would be me. I was at the show, standing by the pole, reddish hair. It was my first show in a long time, love the new song.
