CARTOONS
I would really like to make a thought provocing topic that really makes you wonder. That everyone can put their personal veiws in, but I just
can't think of one. I guess that is RobH's job for the time being. So I will just ask everyone their fav. Cartoons from their youth, or
even just their fav. current shows.
I am actually really curious to know if all the british fellows on this board have similar shows than us North Americans.
My Fav. shows from my you are, not in any particular order,
TMNT
He-Man
Thundercats!
Ghostbusters
Captain N
All the Super Mario Bros. cartoons
Zelda
more current:
Simpsons
The Family Guy
Clone High
Pokemon
south park.....
There are certainly alot more shows, but I will add on once other people start to post. And yes, I truly was addicted to Pokemon, but I'm proud
to say I didn't collect the cards. I loved the game and I watched the first show daily.

I have all the real episodes of super mario brothers on tape. The show really sucked, in my opinion. They were shorts only about 5 or 6 minutes
long..then they would go to a cartoon. Either mario or Zelda. Which I also have all on tape...
And, yes I did watch transformers and G.I. Joe, but I didn't really like Joe very much. I liked the toys alot, though.
I think Clone High is the funniest new cartoon I've seen in a long time.

I disagree... what a weak show. But I still watched it religiously...
Did anybody ever watch "Captain Planet"? He's our hero... gonna take polution down to zero...
And Ghostbusters was an amazing cartoon! And transformers too. Did any one else cry when Optimus Prime died? I kept rewatching the tape hoping he
wouldn't die the next time... *sniff*
I'm sorry... this thread has reopened old wounds...

I know I've said this a bunch of times, but I have all the episodes of Captain N the game master, too. If you want I can make a tape with some
episodes for you, shifty. And if, unlike me, you have grown up, then just forget about it.
Captain Planet made Maxim's list of 10 worst superheroes...but what the hell do they know, anyway?

How could I forget Animanics. I'm gonna have to look on the internet for some of those shows. And Tiny Toons. WB's is the best. I never
really liked the Hannah Bargara cartoons as much.
Carebears still has a place in my heart. I loved the movie...I think I have that, too.
Eeek the cat, camp candy and denver the last dinasaur are three great ones I also forgot.
I have a question, sin. Did they overdub the american voice actors with Australian?

Nah, still american. Though you'd be surprised how not american most actors/cartoons/etc sound. See when I speak to an American in person their
accent is far more noticable than in shows and movies, quite wierd now that I think about it.

Interesting. Hah...I couldn't imagine ninja turtles with british accents.
Is most television around the world that is watched, american? Or do you have alot of Australian shows? Maybe your just used to hearing an american
voice when you turn on a TV, but when you hear it in person it sounds weirder.

Most of the television shows are American, although there are also a lot of Aussie shows, though not nearly as many (except for ABC which has heaps).
It probably is the whole "used to it" thing, still cool though.
