New Incubus Single

Who's heard it? It's up for streaming on www.enjoyincubus.com if anyone's interested in listening.

The arrangement of the tune is great. There are some great chords in there too, as well as a great hook in the chorus.

I'm listening to it now. I'll give everyone a little play by play. The beginning riff is really cool, it sounds like something that you'd hear out of a James Bond film. Cool chours and hook, but what the hell is he saying? The bass fills w/ drums and vocals at the end at around 2:50 are very cool. Well this is quite the agressive song from Incubus. I prefer their slower music though, it's more pretty.

one last show.

The tune definantly DOES grow on you.

These are the lyrics if you're wondering what he's saying

I hear you on the radio
You permeate my screen, unkind heart
So much you ever seem to fly
I'd cut off both your wings on principle alone
On principle alone

Hey megalomaniac
You're not Jesus
Yeah, you're no fucking Elvis
Special, as you know yourself, maniac
Step down
Step down

Are we your appendages?
That hold open your eyes
So you would see
That all of us are heaven sent
There was never meant to be only one
To be only one

Hey megalomaniac
You're not Jesus
Yeah, you're no fucking Elvis
Special, as you know yourself, maniac
Step down
Step down

Yeah
You're no Jesus
You're not Elvis

You're no answer!!

Hey megalomaniac
You're not Jesus
Yeah, you're no fucking Elvis
Special, as you know yourself, maniac
Step down

I don't think those are completely correct but they're what's going around on the net lately.

sounds pretty good. im a huge incubus fan, but i expected a little more from them. though it is quite original. regarding the aggressiveness, make yourself is probably their most aggressive album, and a lot of the stuff off that album is much more agressive than this, and i love it. anyway, they said that most of their new songs are very hyper, and faster than the last album
maybe it'll grow on me. i hope it does, cause i love incubus

Hmmm... I like. Is this with a new bass player? Or do they even have one yet?

Yeah they got a new bassist straight away. I did know his name as well, but it has slipped my mind.

Good for them. They always do things a little differently, and I love to hear new stuff from them.

As usual with a new Incubus song, I think it's ok. But every single time the songs heavily grow on me. Morning View was unique in that it then shrunk on me, if I can put it that way. We'll see.

His last name is Kenny??? That's a stupid last name. It should be a first name.

The roots are good. Didn't they play with incubus on the area 51 tour? I don't know... probably wrong.

if you look carefully, the "probably" i posted is not specific to anything. thus, it could mean that incubus probably played with this band, or, inversely, it could mean that rob was wrong.

honestly, you people just don't read between the lines.

I am aware of the possible means of the statement. I felt the need to wildly jump to conclusions, though. I regret nothing.
