i watched les triplettes de belleville today. the music is awesome. go watch it.
does anyone know where coffee and cigarettes is playing in the toronto area?
oddly enough, where i saw the triplettes of belleville is the same place that i saw coffee and cigarettes the carlton cinema [beside the old maple
leaf gardens]. jim jarmusch films usually dont last long in theaters.......
farenheit is good and supersize me is decent.

you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool. And sometimes Clarence asks me what I would have done if he had died, if that bullet
had been two inches more to the left. To this, I always smile, as if I'm not going to satisfy him with a response. But I always do. I tell him

I love Donnie Darko, that film is incredible on so many levels. I really hope they release the Directors Cut in cinemas down here.

See "Unbreakable" by M. Night Shyamalan with Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson. It's the best movie i have seen in ages.

i saw "copland" a few weeks back, and i have to say that i was pleasantly surprised about how good it was. i'd recommend it as a
sunday-afternoon-mit-cup-of-tea type film.
definitely proves sly can act.

Okay, so there's some new movies out in the theatres...some I'd really like to check out. The question is, are they movie theatre worthy?
Or should I wait for the DVD?...
I think this question is more directed towards mr. dobalina since I tend to agree with his views on movies...but to the other movie addicts (Sin, Ian,
Reivax) please do feel free to pitch in..
I only mentioned the first actor I could think of for each movie..I’m sure you’re all familiar with the titles though.
The movies in question are:
-The Manchurian Candidate (Denzel Washington)
-The Village (Adrien Brody)
-Collateral (Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx)
-Festival Express (more of a documentary...right?)
-Bourne Supremacy (Matt Damon)
-Harold and Kumar go to White Castle
-The Notebook (it’s been out for a while..but ppfftt)
-Before Sunset (Ethan Hawke)
I can’t think of what else..there’s this other one I want to see that was made by the creators of South Park...but I can’t remember the name of it,
and I assume it’d only be played in the states, right? They’re all like toys fighting terrorists...something along those lines.
Thank you bunches guys..
Dez

Dez, I am taking you to see the Notebook sometime. I've been dying to see it again. It was fantastic. Plus Ryan Gosling is a dreamboat.

Dez, the only movie on that list that i have seen so far is the Bourne Supremecy. actually i was pretty dissapointed with it. from about 20 minutes
into it, the story just seems to spiral downward, in a malestrom of self destruction in which "Bourne's" only emotions are anger,
and hostility. the story just doesnt progress well at all, and the cinematography was a little too rough most of the time. it hurt my eyes (of course
i was in the 3rd row...) anyway that's just my opinion, compared to the first one, wich i thought was fantastic. although it wasn't
absolutely terrible, the acting was quite superb, and there were some pretty sweet action scenes.
oh, but if you haven't seen the first one, dont see it. you will not understand a thing.
Some things take more than a lifetime.

Okay, so The Village is out, and Bourne Supremacy might still be considered, so for now it's on the "maybe" list. I did see the
first one, by the way.

manchurian - remake of a once profound political commentray rewaxed to capitalize off the current timultuous political landscape.
collateral - filmed in digital, not 35mm. save the bucks, lose the credibility.
festival express - another hollywood ploy. janis joplin is the counter-culture darling of today. only reason to see this is if you like 'the
band' [backing band for bob dylan]. look for two more janis joplin movies within the next year. one starring pink, the other starring renee
zellwegger.
bourne supremacy - nice try. no cigar.
harold and kumar - 'dude, where's my star?'. however, scenes filmed in streetsville.
the notebook - tear-jerker if that's your thing. not well made, but the story is patchy in many places. it's somewhat ironic that
alzheimer's plays a role in a script where things are forgotten.
before sunset - don't watch it until you've watched 'before sunrise' [of same cast and characters]. yes folks, it's a
sequel in a romantic comedy's clothing.
