i am the biggest geek in the world
i am a movie geek. i know almost every movie in existence, and spend a fair share of my free time watching or researching film. i often get blank
looks for throwing out obscure movie quotes in normal conversations. believe me, the term "geek" is not being used loosely here.
are you a geek too? how so? do you collect stamps? do yo have the most comprehensive thundercat action figre collection?
topic: what is your geeky pleasure?
[Edited on 12-1-04 by mr. dobalina]
Amid the chaos of that day, when all I could hear was the thunder of gunshots, and all I could smell was the violence in the air, I look back and am
amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true, that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record:
you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool. And sometimes Clarence asks me what I would have done if he had died, if that bullet
had been two inches more to the left. To this, I always smile, as if I'm not going to satisfy him with a response. But I always do. I tell him
of how I would want to die, but that the anguish and the want of death would fade like the stars at dawn, and that things would be much as they are
now. Perhaps. Except maybe I wouldn't have named our son Elvis.

Justin Timberlake is not only my guilty pleasure, but my geeky one too...
In fact, I could even say it's borderline obsessive.
p.s: your new song, like forever is
"chapel of love"
just because of the line going to the chapel, and we're gonna get married

I'm a big hockey card collector. I must have like thousands. I've stopped collecting for a good year now, but I've done so ever
since I was young. The rarest card that I have is a Wayne Gretzky rookie. That's worth a few bucks.

My geeky pleasure is probably the same as yours, Mr. Dobalina. I love film. And I also randomly say movie quotes in the middle of a conversation. And
in the middle of class...which is why my teachers *make* me listen to my cd player while they are giving out instructions. Hey, I'm not
complaining .
The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she
wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect
woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie.

This is a great topic! I'm a huge science geek, but my biggest geeky school-related pleasure would have to be rocks. I love geology! I worked at
a gold mine for a while and it was the best job ever.
I'm also a curler which, as I'm told, makes me pretty damn geeky.

I used to be pretty hardcore competitive and had a lot of success with my High School team. Since starting University I haven't had much luck
finding time for a competitive team but I still love to play.

i love playing chess. i have this mini magnetic travel chess board that i carry around with me. its cool. it flips open on hydraulics so its really
smooth. and since its magnetic, it stays set up and ready to play at any moment. the pieces are soooo small. theyre about the same size as nerds.
curling is fun too. if you ever seen that movie men with brooms, the scene at the end where the rock explodes, one of my old smoother songs comes on.
i got to hang out with leslie nielsen when that came out. hehe

beat.
