It was 'Velvet....' something, the product of the Canadian 'Popstars' equilvalent.
The Livid sound a tad like Incubus, although I think Incubus blow goats :/

Firstly - Justin was in Velvet empire, a failed popstars band.
As a whole band, I think The Livid have a whole new sound ...
But Finger eleven , incubus, ...

Personally, I think The Livid sound sort of like a cross between Incubus and '80 - '84 era Rush while still maintaining their own unique
sound. Which, that's definitely a good thing in my eyes. That happens to be my favorite Rush era and I'm a big fan of Incubus as well. I
love The Livid's sound and style.

Dude incubus ownz all....they have created a new sound of music and continue to break through...Don't just hear one song on the radio and say uh
those guys suck....>
I think that 80's Incubus is the best stuff....it is a break through from funk to the currenct scene. You should def take a listening to
S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and fungus amungus, which they have re-realeased!

With all due respect, my sister is a huge Incubus fan, so i've heard the majority of their material.
From what i've heard (and thats quite a bit) I can say they just aren't to my taste.
Like I said, 'I think' they blow goats.

Westpoint sounds pretty similar to The Livid IMO. Havent heard the other band yet, so I wouldn't know about them
*edit* I hate Incubus, but since most of my friends are avid Incubus supporters, I usually have to keep my gob shut

Hey guys. What in your opinion are some bands that sound similar to the livid? in my opinion chris's guitar tone sounds a lot like Zakk Wylde.
Also, do you guys know what band that justin (the current lead singer) was in before the livid? thanks a bunch.
-mark
Justin was in a band called Velvet Empire, from a canadian show called popstars, but he was in another band before that, i forgot what its called....

I don't really think i can summon up any bands that remind me of the livid. i always seem to put them on a par with finger 11, but thats only
because i started listening to them around the same time.
Finger 11 are pretty big over there arnt they? Here theres not a cd for sale in any shops apart from Amazon.

blowing" band.

I've seen Incubus 4 times now and Brandon is dead on every time.
The livid sounds very unique in my opinion.
Whoever compared my band to the livid, listen to the styles of guitar playing. They're like apples and oranges, totally different. Same with
the singing.

from what i have seen of brandon, he is very unpredictable. i've seen concerts where he has been spot-on in terms of pitch, and concerts where
he made my skin crawl.
