website overhaul
this website (the flash part, and everything else too) is going to get a makeover to tie in with the new album.
the flash part will be completely redone, from scratch (but using a lot of the same styles - angry shaking things are a must of course). it's
going to be much easier for the band to update the news and shows, and hopefully that means they'll do it more often, and it will be easier to
read. i'm thinking of tying flash and html together for the main part of the site, and that will mean the forums will integrate better with
everything else. that's not definite yet though.
the forums will get a new colour scheme, but this one will remain available (i'm quite fond of it even after all this time).
i'll probably be integrating sound into the site, but whether this means just livid music playing, or sound effects too, i haven't
decided.
so i'm asking for any ideas you might have - things you don't like about the site as it stands (hold the "it still says christian is
the bassist" - i know) and anything you think should be added, from a fan's point of view.

i think you should have a part for us, the fans, like other then the boards...like a place where we can post pictures from shows or artwork and what
not... and hmmm....i will keep thinking!

a "fan zone" never hurts. with regard to the forums, i suggest adding some new colour schemes to liven things up a bit.

Instead of having the video, tabs and buddy icons on the main html page, I think they should be incorporated into the main flash site.
I also give thumbs up for writing in Html and the rest of the site being in flash.. means you can read it easier and you can copy and paste
Also, this is quite a funky idea.. can a spell check be incorporated into the forums? That would be awesome for some of the plebs.

would it be possible to give it a automatic refresh after 30 seconds or something like that? I get sick of pushing the refresh button and i know a
few sports sites that have that

yeah that wouldn't be hard to do. i wouldn't put it on every page, that'd be stupid. just maybe the index page and the forum view
pages. i'm gonna put in a sound when you get a PM too, and get rid of that stupid popup. any ideas for the sound? i was thinking the classic
"you've got mail", but then i changed my mind, i want something outrageous and crazy.

I have this crazy obsession (yes...you can stop laughing now) with the ICQ "you've got a message" sound...Do you guys know what
I'm talking about?
It's impossible to try and explain it, you just either know it..or you don't..
But..that's not "crazy and outrageous" enough. I know in some sites they have like 1-2 second clips of songs. So it could be any
piece of a livid song like "My faith is shaded" or "I could fall, pick myself up"..or...I don't know, those probably
wouldn't be the best options. But even a short guitar riff or something?

So long as there's a no sound option, I don't care. Flash and HTML = Good. Can't think of anything else that's needed, unless
you want to be one of those "cool" website people and chuck in a counter, on every page! You could also put in a Bart Blog!

for the pm sound just have justin screaming. or adam with some cazy drum solo. hell have each band member have a sound clip (solo) and rotate them.
that would make me happy.
oh and if you could buy merch straight off the site, that would be very cool. i have a feeling people would be more inclined to make a purchase that
way too.
