The Grudge....stupidest movie I have ever seen.
Though nothing was as bad as Gigli.

The Ring wasn't scary to me, somewhat disturbing, but that's about it..you'll be fine. But then again, if you found The Grudge scary you shouldn't take my word for it.

I got to watch 'Saw' twice in theatres, it's one of those movies I'd definetly see again, though.

apparently the original "the ring" is pretty good. the american version is shit - waste of life.

Ringu was so much better thant the ring, it's not even funny. everything about it was just scarier and more realistic than the american shit version.

the grudge sucked.

but if you want to see a really good movie, see the life aquatic. it's a masterpiece, just ask joel. but don't let him reveal the ending... fucker. haha

don't watch the grudge. watch "Ju-On". it's the original from japan, and now pretty easy to get your hands on in canada.

be prepared for many japanese to english crossover flicks to start coming about..... i wouldn't be surprised if "Audition" isn't the next to come over. who knows, maybe they'll put someone fucking ridiculous like lisa kudrow in the lead.

Amid the chaos of that day, when all I could hear was the thunder of gunshots, and all I could smell was the violence in the air, I look back and am amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true, that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record: you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool. And sometimes Clarence asks me what I would have done if he had died, if that bullet had been two inches more to the left. To this, I always smile, as if I'm not going to satisfy him with a response. But I always do. I tell him of how I would want to die, but that the anguish and the want of death would fade like the stars at dawn, and that things would be much as they are now. Perhaps. Except maybe I wouldn't have named our son Elvis.

Is that the one where the chinese wife gets killed in her house by the little kid with the white face? If so, I thought that film was way funnier than it was serious. I haven't seen the remake of it though.

weird how my favourite song from my favourite band was playing during the climax of "the life aquatic"..... serendiptious...... i think so.

[note: irony found in the usage of the term "serendiptous".... one of my other favourite artists' songs "northern sky" was used in the climax of the movie Serendipity]

It's not actually out yet, but I'm anxiously awaiting Southland Tales. So long as Jason Lee has a large part, it should be a hilarious flick.

i watched the original ring - it's just called "ring". i haven't seen the american one, but i thought ring was not at all scary (a bit disturbing in parts i suppose). i thought it was pretty crap. i was disappointed.
team america, as has been said in another thread, however, is top quality.

You mean, Ringu?..
I highly recommend that everyone watches “Hide and Seek”. It got me thinking about a lot of things…and Elisabeth Shue is on it! I hadn’t see her in a big movie in some time.
“Adventures in Babysitting” was so good though.

I don’t want to give it away, but it’s good..and damn Dakota Fanning is such a good actress.

what i watched was the original japanese film, and it was definitely just called "ring". no "u". i could take a photo of the dvd if you want. come to think of it, it's possible it was called ringu and they took the u off for the dvd since it looked silly.

solved - looked it up on imdb.com and yes, it's called ringu. the english title was "ring" though, so we're all right, how wonderful.
watched "28 days later" - great film. watch it.

Yup, it's got zombies. It's sort of like a british version of "dawn of the dead". It was pretty good.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. i watched it twice. It has no plot of any kind, but it didn't need one.
