i wish i had a three guitar stand.... i would be able to fill it.... one electric, one classical and one bass.... i currently have one guitar on a
stand.... and two in cases (i just noticed that I have 5 cases...). i wish i could trade in my electric tho. I never use it, and i dont particularily
like the sound it makes... its pretty shitty... perhapsi'll trade in my electric and buy a nice acoustic electric using some cash from my tax
returns...

Trading in is not really worth it most of the time. They rip you off. I wanted to trade in a 600 yamaha acoustic I had and get a 200 dollar electric
and they laughed at me...the most they would have given me for that acoustic, if I was lucky, is $150. Maybe you should sell it on ebay. What kind is
it?

that isnt too bad. I could probably use my parents account. that would save me some on buying my electric acoustic... i considered buying my own
classical (the one i have right now is actually the schools) but i have access to a classical, and i do like the sound of the Takamines that i have
played so far.

Hmmm...I've always wanted a classical acoustic, actually. They sound great. Personally I would take an electric acoustic over it, though. I
think it would give you more of a variety in styles of playing.
And a good thing about acoustics is that they are generally cheaper than electric and you don't have to buy all the extra's like amps,
chords and pedals...

i used to have an acoustic but my parents forced me to return it when i bought my electric. at the time i found it better to own an electric over an
acoustic. but now im more into finger picking and classical styles, so the electric isn't really getting used.
Since i have access to a yamaha classical guitar from school, i considered buying a Takamine electric acoustic. Mainly because acoustics give a
different sound than classicals, and because if i want i could plug it into my bass amp, or my mini guitar amp and jam with some friends on drums or
bass.

sounds pretty sweet. I'd go with the electric acoustic over the classical. Takamine is a really good brand, too.

my acoustic is worth like over $750 US, cause it's really rare... like 30 years old and in very good condition and it sounds excelent for how
old it is. some day ill put up a pic of it. it's pretty sweet!

That's basically the same as my not so nice guitar, Ian. Except I don't have the strat version like yours, it's more like an RG.
It's good for the times that I really want to tune to something else and I don't have the patience to tune the radius. And if friends come
over, there's plenty of guitars to go around now.

Well, here is a shitty pic of my three guitars that I just took (and the recycle). It took a while to get it to look even that good, so that's
as good as it'll get with this webcam.

Few more questions related to guitars....
1.Favourite intro(s) to a song?
2.Favourite solo(s)?
3.Favourite riff(s)?
4.Best bass line(s)?
5.Most overrated guitarist(s)? (Don't remember is this was asked already)
6. do you play sitting or standing up (the majority of the time)?
7. What players style would you compare yours to?
That's it for now. I just pulled these out of my ass, so I will answer them in a bit.

1. master of puppets, maybe. or death blooms (mudvayne)
2. i can't really play many solos, but enter sandman i guess.
3. the start of watch it die. or some of the rammstein riffs - sonne has an awesome riff.
4. anything by mudvayne.
5. tricky question. any guitarist from any generic pop rock boy band would be the easy answer.
6. standing up. but acoustic sitting down of course.
7. i'd have to say mr. schembri since the livid is my favourite stuff to play.

Hmmm, let's see:
1. NIB.
2. the two slide solos in Betterman (John Butler Trio, dunno if you guys know them though), they fit into the song really well.
3. The intro bit to Jump In The Fire by Metallica.
4. I have a couple; Blue Moon, Lightning Crashes, Oldman (another JBT song), NIB, Release.
5. People like John Mayer, Pete Murray, etc.
6. standing with electric, sitting with acoustic (though the thing is so fricking huge it makes it awkward).
7. Les Claypool at the moment.

1. blackened - metallica, black star - malmsteen
2. friends - satriani
3. cliffs of dover main riff - eric johnson
4. right on time - rhcp
5. the dudes from F11 and the brad from linkin park
6. Sitting.
7. I've always said that Mark Tremonto (creed) steals my riffs, so I'd say him.

Metallica does have the best intro's I must say...orion, blackened, fight fire with fire, damage inc., to live is to die....all amazing. Damage
inc. is probably my fav, but I don't know if it guitar or not.
I actually think john mayer is a pretty good guitar player. When I saw him on TV I was quite impressed.

1. Evil Eye by Yngwie Malmsteen, Bad Horsie by Steve Vai
2. Astronomy by Metallica, Little Wing (Stevie Ray Vaughan's version)
3. Mercyfull Fate by Metallica (the second part to the song, about 1 min into it), The Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin (the main melody, simple by
awesome!!!)
4. Addicted to that Rush by Mr. Big
5. Uhhh... Daron Malakian...it's all i can think of
6. Sitting for acoustic, sitting (mostly) and standing for electric
7. Kirk Hammet, but I'm kinda leaning on John Petrucci's style.

Your totally right Chris. Especially Fight Fire with Fire. The first parts pretty cool..then it goes to like..mach 5. I don't understand why
their new album is so different though.. To bad its not like Master of Puppets or Ride the Lightning or anything they played like back in the 80s.

1 Hotel California (Live) by The Eagles
2 Stairway to Heaven, and Alive by Pearl Jam
3 Black Dog by Led Zeppelin, Hey Jonny Park! by The Foo Fighters, Sick Sad Little World by Incubus, and both Falling Behind and Reckless by The
Livid
4 Yürf Rendernmein by AFI
5 dunno
6 both
7 Mike of Incubus, Schembri (a bit), and Dave Grohl.
ok, Hotel California's intro just kicks ass... it is the most brilliant peice of music EVER! Metallica's intros are undeniably awesome,
but seriously, nowhere near as good as Hotel California.
John Mayer is actually a very good guitarist... if anything he is underrated.
